This deck is still under construction, and any feedback is very appreciative. Keep in mind that I don't have a huge budget to make changes, but I will consider all possibilities.

Also as this deck evolves I'll begin taking it FNM and seeing how it does, I'll post results below as they happen.

Conception and General Information

I began this deck with based around the idea of using Vanguard of Brimaz 's heroic to generate tokens and gain advantage quickly. However, after putting some different cards in the deck I found that I enjoyed the Heroic mechanic more and more. Thus, I've shifted the focus on the deck to be centered on enabling heroics and utilizing the +1/+1 counters they create.

I apologize to anyone who was interested in this deck solely because it was a token deck, and I promise to revisit the idea either as a new deck or maybe bringing elements back into this deck. The decklist for the prior build will be available below along with all the following versions of the deck, for whoever is interested.

Now that that's taken care of, let's move into the strategy of the deck.

Our strategy is pretty straightforward, we want to get some +1/+1 counters on our Heroics and survive until turn 3 or 5 so that we can play our Abzan Falconers and Elite Scaleguard . By the time they become available we should have some fairly stout creatures at our disposal, and now they have utility! Depending on what gets played proceed to tap down the opponents creatures or simply fly over them.

Sounds good right? Well as they say the devil is in the details, and now we have to figure out how to get to Turn 3 or Turn 5 in order to utilize our Enablers. Well let's take a look at what we have on hand.

Protection from color: What better way to prevent damage than to have protection from color? Also a great way to do some early damage to your opponent if they block. Oh and they both trigger heroic!
4x Gods Willing
3x Feat of Resistance

Indestructable: Prevent damage/destroy effects? Yes please. While we have Favored Hoplite that does this through is ability, we also have Ajani's Presence in the sideboard. I would replace Glimpse the Sun God for this if your opponent is running board wipes.
3x Favored Hoplite
3x Ajani's Presence *Sideboard

Removal: All that protection is great, but what about removing threats? Well for enchantments we have a few options, and they are all in the sideboard. This is because it's not guaranteed an opponent will even be running enchantments or artifacts, and thus the mainboard is filled with cards that optimize what we want to do. So in the sideboard we have Abzan Advantage , Revoke Existence, and Erase. They all have their advantages Abzan Advantage generates +1/+1 on our creatures and forces the opponent to sacrifice an enchantment. If we haven't put +1/+1 counters on a creature and we have our Enablers in play this helps take care of a problem and gives us some utility. Our second option is Revoke Resistance, while it costs the same as Abzan Advantage it also helps take care of artifacts and enchantments. So this is our answer to those players who play those cards. Next up is Erase a super hand one drop that exiles target enchantments, while it doesn't give us much utility it does help take care of pesky enchantments if players have cards that interact with their graveyards.

Okay so that covers removal of artifacts/enchantments, but what about those scary creatures that keep attacking us? Well thankfully we have a few cards to deal with that. On the mainboard side of things we have Sandblast which helps take care of pumped creatures and general spot removal. Now if we can't take care of buisness with Sandblast then our next go to replacement from the sideboard is Banishing Light. The main drawback for this card is that it isn't an instant. However if your opponent has badies with regenerate or are just potent threats, then exiling them is the best thing we can do.

Lot of explanation for the removal, but this is where the sideboarding comes into play the most. So here's the rundown
3x Sandblast
3x Abzan Advantage Sideboard
3x Revoke Existence

3x Erase Sideboard
3x Banishing Light

Updates Add

So after changing some cards around, I've found that I am enjoying the heroic mechanic more and more. So I've decided to change the focus from generating tokens to utilizing heroics and the +1/+1 counters they create. I look forward to hearing more feedback on this idea, and what improvements I should make.

I'll probably return to the token generating idea again as another deck build, but for now my main focus will be on this.
