You have quite a few delve cards, and if you keep delving Tasigur, the Golden Fang and Treasure Cruise, then Graveblade Marauder and even Greenwarden of Murasa will not be very effective. It would be better just to focus on either your graveyard or exile, not both. However, this is a great starting point for an interesting deck.

I agree with ninja. If you're trying to manipulate graveyard mechanics, Delve isn't your friend. You have to pick a focus.

ninjaclevs13 TMBRLZ Sorry guys, I thought I posted on this already! I already typed the response, but for whatever reason I must have forgotten to submit it. Anyway, the general gist of what I was trying to say was which path would be most viable, and what would I have to change to follow said path? Paths being: zombie tribal aggro, and Delve midrange. Sorry again on the late response. I would love to hear both of your opinions!

I personally would go with zombies, because I like tribal decks and think that would be awesome to see. Also, there is a lot of graveyard hate in the format and focusing on delve would be hard to do.

ninjaclevs13 What graveyard hate are you referring to? There's technically the Eldrazi processors, and Cranial Archive, but I haven't seen either of those run in a very long time. Your meta might be different, but mine is 4-5 color Jace/midrange, with some Mardu aggro and a couple homebrews.

If your meta isn't extremely competitive, then delve would be okay. A lot of times when I'm looking at primers, I see a sideboard option for graveyard hate (I can't think of one right now lol). However, with delve, it can be tricky because you might just delve yourself out and be stuck with a Gurmag Angler. I think it would just be easier and better to do zombies. If you are adamant about a delve deck, then I'm sure there are lists online.

ninjaclevs13 I am definitely not against a Zombies tribal. I was just a bit confused when you mentioned graveyard hate in Standard. I'll tinker with it tonight and see what you think.

Actually, scratch that. I'm too tired; I'll screw with it in the morning.

Hey man cool deck, I'm glad Risen Executioner finally found a home. Have you considered Screeching Skaab? It goes well with delve and the zombie theme. Looking forward to where this deck will go!

I was going to suggest the Delve route if you're looking for a more competitive route but I like the changes towards ZomZoms you've made overall. Well done. Some more tweaking over time and it could be quite a deck. Excited to see what OGW offers.

nateblego I have considered it, but I have so many two drops right now. I'm working on changing this towards a Zombie tribal, so it will definitely find its way in. Thanks for checking this out!

Im working on the transition, but I have some questions for you guys. First, is Corpseweft worth running? I'm thinking it could be a powerful engine after they remove stuff I can't bring back(Gurmag Angler, Sidisi, Tasigur, etc). Second, Sultai Ascendancy vs Monastery Siege. I like them both, but I'm leaning towards Ascendancy. Third, Nantuko Husk vs Fleshbag Marauder. On one hand, Fleshbag makes both players sacrifice, and a lot of my creatures are expendable. On the other hand, Husk is just amazing and again, expendable creatures. Tasigur vs Greenwarden of Murasa. Tasigur can be cast much earlier and fuels Delve and Sidisi, while Greenwarden lets you choose twice, with a slightly better body. Is Sultai Emissary worth running? There's no doubt that it's value, but I already have so many two drops. Is Skaab Goliath worth running? This one really doesn't have much going for it, but I felt like I had to at least mention it. Also, this deck will probably be dipping a lot more heavily into black, so help on the mana base would be much appreciated.

Totally forgot to mention this. Is Evolutionary Leap worth running? I really like it as a value engine, but don't know if I can fit it in.

Evolutionary Leap is a strong card, heck I even built a whole deck around it. I wouldn't recommend it for this deck, though. Monastery Siege is better than Sultai Ascendancy because it lets you throw out a card that was already in your hand.

amazingdan says... #16

Why do you think Leap wouldn't work in this deck? Also, good call on the Siege.

TMBRLZ Thoughts on above questions?

January 3, 2016 6:25 p.m.

nateblego says... #17

Evolutionary Leap is usually only good for blanking removal, unless you have no guys on the field and play a Fleshbag Marauder with a up. I would sideboard it for control decks.

nateblego What do you think of my other questions?

January 3, 2016 7:31 p.m.

nateblego says... #19

Tasigur is cheaper then Greenwarden, and has more activations in the late game. I would say use him. As for Sultai Emissary, keep it in if you're gonna use husk, otherwise take it out. Fleshbag is removal and a creature, I would say keep it in over Husk. Your mana base looks great.

I don't know if you guys have been keeping up with the spoilers(link to full list so far :http://mythicspoiler.com), but what do you guys think of new Kalitas and Stoneforge Masterwork in here?

January 3, 2016 7:43 p.m.

nateblego says... #21

Stoneforge Masterwork is intended for allies, but it works in any tribal deck, like this one. It could be pretty sweet. Kalitas makes Zombies and can get huge while gaining you some life, you should run him as a 3 of in this list.

Yes, I have been keeping up on spoilers :)

If I were you I would mainboard: taigams scheming, Liliana, heretical healer, and evolutionary leap. If you go the aristocrats route, I would also run hangarback walker, hooded hydra (personal opinion), and zulaport cutthroat.

January 4, 2016 8:16 p.m.

amazingdan says... #23

Eiyros I wish I could run Taigam's Scheming and Evolutionary Leap, but my deck is clogged with two drops as it is. I had Taigam's Scheming in the earlier versions of the deck, but I had to cut it. You'll see the Leap in the sideboard against removal-heavy decks. As for Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip, I'm trying to keep this budget for the moment, but if I can afford her, I will definitely put her in.

January 4, 2016 8:24 p.m.

Eiyros says... #24

Cool beans. Honestly though, evolutionary leap is worth running like two copies in the main board. I would remove corpesweft if I were you for it because it exiles creatures from your graveyard, and in your deck most of your creatures reanimate themselves from the graveyard. If you want something that loves delve and hits hard, run torrent elemental.

i forgot to mention if you choose to spend more on this deck, run the den protector/ death mist raptor combo
