I just playtested this a ton, and it seems to work pretty much every time haha. I like this a lot. The special lands to put in creatures and whatnot are hardly even necessary. The only problem I can see is an aggro deck killing you on turn 2 or 3. The combo reliably works by turn 4 most of the time and turn 5 at the very worst.

I've got a simple version of this used to make players loosen up when they're getting too competitive. This is one of my favorite variants of one of my favorite decks. +1

I like the version with 2 ad naudeum and the storage lands from future sight.

I subscribed to tappedout after seeing this deck.Last night I was from my dealer and are made fit for the modest sum of 30euro, counting the time he lost to find the cards the figure is more than acceptable.Thursday, I'll make a tournament between friends and the tester.Will let you know the outcome ... You cast Treasure Hunt again. You will hit Zombie Infestation or another Treasure Hunt . If you get a Treasure Hunt return to the beginning of this comment, otherwise cast Zombie Infestation .

You might want to thing about Lightning Storm , that's the variant I intend to play (Lightning Hunt can kill turn three with the perfect play). Also, you have too many ETB Tapped lands IMO (Like Faerie Conclave ). The only lands I'd use are a mix of Swamp s and Island s, 4 Dimir Guildgate , and 4 Reliquary Tower

From my playtesting, I've found very little problems with the taplands. Since there's nothing the deck can do on turn 1, you might as well play a land like Creeping Tar Pit that can get some extra damage in if the plan goes south. This isn't a hyper-competitive deck by any means, but I've won more than a few games (especially when an opponent mulligans down to a discard spell or counter for your Treasure Hunt ) off the backs of those manlands. The version I mess around with on Cockatrice every now and then also uses Mutavault and Blinkmoth Nexus in addition to Creeping Tar Pit and Faerie Conclave . And with 54 lands, you can play a whole lot of colorless lands and taplands without sacrificing the consistency of the combo.

Also, the only reason to run Dimir Guildgate over Creeping Tar Pit is budget concerns - Creeping Tar Pit is better than the Gate in every practical case.

I'm a novice at MTG, but how exactly does Reliquary Tower allow you to cast your enchantment at the end of your opponent's turn?

Reliquary Tower doesn't limit your hands size, meaning you can have as many cards you want in you hand. More cards= more lands, and more lands= more zombies.

Btw, you can only hold seven cards in you endstep. More than that, and you have to discard down to seven.

Zombie Infestation should be cast on your own turn. Since it's an enchantment, it sticks around until it is destroyed. You want to make Zombies with the enchantment's ability after your opponent has passed up every opportunity to cast Sorcery based removal, ie: after their 2nd Main Phase. Reliquary Tower lets you keep more than seven cards in hand, so you aren't forced to lose your extra cards from Treasure Hunt. Activated abilities like the one on Zombie Infestation can be activated any time you could cast an instant, unless otherwise noted on the card.

If you're confused as to why you get priority to use that ability during the end step, check out Comprehensive Rule 116 (http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Timing_and_Priority).

Priority is passed between players to move past each step and phase (rules 116.3a and 116.4). This includes the end step.

Does that clear everything up?

So I am too cheap to build this exactly like you have it, I just used 4 towers and half and half island swaps, but the 4 treasure hunts and 2 infestations.

It was a hoot to play when it worked. So funny, I am going to make the lightning storm version, or the seismic assault version on my next order.

Definitely a fun casual multiplayer deck.

Yes, this deck is Modern legal. It's not gonna do well in tournament play since it loses to any counterspell or discard spell, but you can certainly take some matches by surprise.

Yup... I played this deck against the #1 player at my LGS who places in standard and modern tourneys weekly. Won against him the first match on turn 4. We played 4 more matches for fun after that and he won everyone after that. Pretty much, if I dont get a reliquary tower on draw after sideboard,I lose.
