Tolaria West , this deck is like a Diabolic Tutor .Boseiju, Who Shelters All makes Treasure Hunt (and in the variant with side Lightning Storm ) non Counterspell .I was also thinking of adding the Darksteel Garrison in order to make indestructible lands Deck key.

Tolaria West and Boseiju, Who Shelters All Makes this deck infinitely more playable. With those two cards the deck becomes nigh untouchable. I do however think the better route is getting either fetches or going completely R/U strategy with fetches. The man lands are worse but if you're relying on the man lands than it's pretty much game over.

Last night jo had the courage to bring the deck into the tournament. They finished third on 8 players. Not bad, the deck is still experimental and I overdid with animated lands (I put really many, more than half of the Pack). The thing that struck me most is the total absence of appropriate cards (apart the discard of black) to counteract this bunch in the Sideboard of the opponents.I'm keeping track of the changes I make.I will keep you updated.

Mikokoro, Center of the Sea in case you aren't drawing into Treasure Hunt ?

Awesome deck dude, +1 For sure!!

Only things are id remove all four Creeping Tar Pit and Replace them with Diregraf Captain for Budget reasons and that the captain rocks for the zombie spawn. also, id pull 2 islands and a swamp for 3 Elixir of Immortality .

That helps with both surviving the first few turns or board wipes and also lets you keep drawing Treasure Hunt =)

People, people, people... The only spells you want in a deck like this are the combo pieces. Anything else will hurt the already fragile combo. No Diregraf Captain. Ever. Don't even use cascade spells, which at a glance might seem like a good idea. They're awful for the deck. If you want to get funky with this combo(or Seismic or Lightning Storm versions) don't mess with the spells, play around with manlands or utility lands.

I know other non-land cards "break the combo" but you may want to consider throwing in some Spellbook so you don't have to rely so heavily on Reliquary Tower .

ooooooorrrr Jace's Erasure

RedSarrior says... #21

kuma13 in this case you're not really drawing cards. Treasure Hunt reveals cards until you a nonland card is shown, then all the cards are put in your hands. So Jace's Erasure won't be working.

Also, Gempalm Polluter isn't modern legal, so won't make it in this deck if you keep it for modern.

looks cool at first sight.
but actually it is very weak.
so our ideal start is.
hand with Reliquary Tower and Treasure Hunt.
t1 land.
t2 land Reliquary Tower Treasure Hunt.
Since there are 6 nonland cards in deck, there are 5 in our library, 52 cards in library means 10 cards on average per nonland card, so on average we draw 5 lands (half of 10) before drawing nonland card.
Assume we get lucky and get Zombie Infestation as our first nonland card (2/5 = 40%).
t3 Zombie Infestation.
At the end of opponent's t3 we have 7 + 2 (draw) + 5 (nonlands) - 5 (already cast) = 9 -> 4 zombies. This cant win even a stupid deck which drops Grizzly Bears every turn: by turn 3 he has 2 bears, you swing for 4 t4, cast zombie, he casts bear, you swing for 4, he casts bear, you swing for 2, cast zombie, he casts bear, you swing for 2, he casts bear and you cant swing anymore because he has more bears than you lol.
So the amount of luck this deck has to have is absurd, It cant win best of 3 even a draft deck.
