: So, as we mentioned above-
Dark Petition is awesome. I challenge you to deny it. By the time it see's your hand, you will more than likely have at least 2 spells in your graveyard (If not, you are clearly having some issues). This is such an underrated card. You mean I can play
Demonic Tutor? Yes, yes you can.
Diabolic Tutor can go in your bike spokes. Sure, it can't be played on turn two (unlike Legacy Control, where you have access to
Dark Ritual), it will help you find what you need in the late game.
The Scarab God &
Yahenni's Expertise are a couple of good fetches.
Sign in Blood will be the best option for card draw, until something better comes along- which I don't see happening. If this were a 3-color deck...I would lean away from the double black a little more, but we're safe with Dimir. This card see's black in almost every format, especially in Mono-Black Devotion- which makes for an absolutely brutal Legacy build. Another great choice here is
Read the Bones. It is slightly more expensive than the latter, but helps us out more- giving us the ability to sift through 4 cards instead of two. So,
Dig Through Time, as fore-mentioned, is great in any blue deck and home only to those in this format. It is always an option. The
Delve mechanic is great, and there are a lot of great cards that let you pull it off. Most of the time, dead cards are just that sitting in the graveyard... The draw back is that we need them for
Delirium. We have too many cards that rely on it. However, for closing out the game we can make that sacrifice (or if we can anyways).
Empty the Pits is in the sideboard for this very reason- as a finisher, and it fit's the tribal theme.
