A holding-zone for a potential Solemnity deck.

The basic idea is that this deck is to be Solemnity combo. The deck is abusing the lack of counters to exploit Cumulative Upkeep cards like Glacial Chasm, various "counter-cards" like Celestial Convergence/ Delaying Shield , and finally going infinite with sac outlets and Persist/Undying creatures.

Right now, the deck can turtle up with some tasty Zur the Enchanter tutors for cards like Ghostly Prison to prevent attacks or Delaying Shield to prevent the damage. That gives me enough attack triggers to fetch the pieces to assemble a combo or three. Examples?

• Fallen Ideal + Geralf's Messenger + Solemnity = infinite life loss for my opponents
• Geralf's Mindcrusher + Martyr's Cause + Solemnity = infinite milling of my opponents
• Ashnod's Altar + Chronozoa + Solemnity = infinite mana (of which I currently have no use for) and infinite 3/3 tokens that replace themselves a la H.Y.D.R.A. (cut off one Illusion, two more take its place).

In a pinch, if someone exiles Solemnity, the deck can transition into a more Voltron-style Zur the Enchanter deck, although that's really the backup plan, so I don't have the most powerful version of that in the deck right now. The emphasis is on Solemnity durdling, not on beating face with a mad wizard.

If Zur the Enchanter draws too much hate, I could swap him out for Oloro, Ageless Ascetic or Ertai, the Corrupted . I would probably have to throw in Demonic Tutor and company to get the Solemnity combos online, but in theory the deck could still function?

Dark Depths and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed are in the maybeboard because I'm not made of money. The sideboard cards fit the theme, but didn't quite make the cut.
