First things first: why did I choose this commander?

It's very simple, I love playing EDH and pulled a Brutal Hordechief from a booster some time ago. I didn't have a commander so I went looking for one. Since both Zurgo and the Hordechief are orc warriors it wasn't a difficult decision to make.

Now, what do I want to achieve with this deck?

My aim is to control the battlefield with cards like Brutal Hordechief, Gideon, Battle-Forged   and Boros Battleshaper. It is I who decides who attackts, blocks, etc.

This will make it possible to easily destroy the mana-dorks of my opponents, as well as add +1/+1 counters on Zurgo Helmsmasher and my other units. With the Kusari-Gama attached to a strong creature I can even boardwipe my opponents' creatures.

A third, less important aspect of this deck is Goblins and Warriors.
