This was originally a Mardu Goblins deck we made with a friend but it sucked. Wouldn't recommend. After splitting the cards he turned his half into Rakdos Goblins while I kept the Mardu cards and made this deck with Zurgo, some remaining Goblins and creatures with evasion. The deck works much better now.

It has only one copy of Zurgo, but Brainspoil is there to tutor him or some other creature if he's already out. If it was only a removal spell, it would be pretty bad, but because of it's transmute ability it's useful in this deck.

I like that Zurgo gets a +1/+1 counter even if he kills by noncombat damage, so the deck has two copies of Go for Blood, which can be cycled if needed. Flayer Husk is probably the best one-drop this deck can have since it's colorless, it gives you a blocker in the early game and it sticks around. The deck has a Warrior subtheme and I found one card that can provide a bit of Warrior synergy if equipped to the right creature: Relic Axe.

This color combination is probably the worst when it comes to mana fixing, so it's hard to get started if I don't have at least 3 lands. I tried to have as much mana fixing as possible and there's a bit of card draw; some cards with cycling and the three Cluestones which can be used to ramp and can be drawn away later.

Once it manages to set off, it becomes hard to stop. It has small tokens and big creatures with useful abilities. It's a simple mechanic that can be quite fun to play if there's enough mana. I think that this is the better version of Zurgo and it's nice to be able to play him in kitchentable Magic, he became the creature that holds this deck together.
