Introduction

Zur's Bridge is a control / lock deck that has a similar plan to Lantern Control. It does not give the opponent any new cards. The execution is a bit different in that Zur's Weirding requires a bit more of a setup but makes the lock harder to break once Zur's Weirding resolves.

Free Win Esper

Alike to Free Win Red and other similar decks, this deck can produce a lot of free wins in the first game with either Ensnaring Bridge or Leyline of Sanctity. A lot of decks cannot beat either in the first game and thus cannot or can just barely win. Winning the first match fast enough is important since the deck is really grindy and time may become a problem at sanctioned events.

The Lock

The main lock is Bloodchief Ascension with card:Zur's Werding. Once you get 3 quest markers, you are able to deny all cards your opponent draws while draining his life.

However, the opponent can deny our draw as well. Therefore, this deck has some ways to circumvent this.Sleight of Hand and Azcanta, the Sunken Ruin do not draw cards. Syphon Life and Lingering Souls can be flashbacked. In addition, every land drawn is another spell with Syphon Life. This reduces the number of cards the opponent can give us.

Lingering Souls, Faerie Conclave, Syphon Life and Collective Brutality each take 2 life and can trigger Bloodchief Ascension. In addition, Collective Brutality's escalate mode helps discarding cards to get Ensnaring Bridge active.
