I play solo tested against your deck like 5 times. it beat mine 3/5. I think the land count is a tad low (1 or 2) this thing ran like a dream. Ethereal Armor seemed a bit weak. Its not gratifying quickly enough and I would personally bump it. Any enchantment that relies on a healthy permanent specific board presence is risky. Early game it feels like a dead draw. Later game it feels like an If-You-Managed-to-Get'er-Done-It'll-Probably-Be-Good.

Still though gorgeous deck. I really had to think about what I would've done differently.

@DanteSquires: Ethereal Armor is a kill shot enchantment. When the board is locked there is a sufficient amount of enchantments to be at least +5. In addition, it's a backup for Empyrial Armor . Both are good for +2 to +7 at any given time. If its in your hand and you get it on before Diplomatic Immunity or Vanishing , Ethereal Armor will make your initial hit worth 3~4, versus hitting 2 turns in a row with 1 damage.

If you want to make Stasis a bit more busted, run Eon Hub alongside it. Skip your upkeep so you don't have to pay anything to keep shit tapped down? Sure!

What about Spawning Pool and Duskmantle, House of Shadow ? The pool, I found, has been a great surprise blocker. After declaring, tap to regenerate itself. Duskmantle is really good to kill off tutored/divining top cards. Could change out a basic land each.

Unexpectedly Absent is a badass card.

@canterlotguardian: I actually have run Eon Hub in the past and although it was hilarious and completely shut everyone down I found i couldn't reliably get it out with having to tutor for it usually and then having to pay it's high mana cost while trying to keep extra mana open for counters... Great idea though! I love cheesy stuff like that

@Enyeto: neither of those lands are really what i'm looking for. I can't afford to put another colorless land into my manabase and i don't really need a man land blocker since the deck does fine without creatures in the first place

@dbregman8585: badass indeed

Was Declaration of Naught ever considered? Appears to be another Nevermore -type card.

A fun little combo i run in my zur deck is Contamination + Bitterblossom . i only run it sideboard because it annoys my friends to the point of tabling flipping.

in the unlikely event that this happens then i guess one of the following:

Strip Mine , Vanishing , Nevermore , Replenish

although hopefully i'd have wiped all lands before someone can play a 6 drop. :)

@ScottKindle: It really depends on game politics. The main multiplayer tactics i use are:

Land wiping with Catastrophe , Armageddon or (as a last resort) Mana Vortex after board position has been established, giving me free reign to attack and pick off players one by one while they try and recover

And the second tactic is to set zur up with a random aura and Daybreak Coronet giving him vigilance. I then grab Stasis and lock everyone else out of the game while I systematically kill everyone. Necropotence is used to keep digging for lands that produce blue mana, thus keeping stasis active almost indefinitely.

The deck can usually handle 2v1 but anything more than that can be a challenge if everyone is targeting me. Basically if i can get zur out and keep attention off of me long enough to set up the above scenarios I'll win. If not then i have to play strategically and keep counterspells open all the time. Solitary Confinement really helps to buy me more time as well.

I find Erebos, God of the Dead 's "no life gain'' to be one of the biggest threats that this deck faces in multiplayer
