The blue text is nearly impossible to read without selecting it first.

You mean the blue text in “Welcome to Zur’s Weird Necro Deck”?

DarkStarStorm: the txt you are talking about should be a gold color. Logged onto the site on a pc and saw what you are talking about. Have know idea why it’s blue. I changed the coding to the numerical value but I’m not sure if that worked or not. Could you let me know? I put the primer together on my phone and don’t even have a pc. On my phone the txt shows up as white.

KayneMarco Now it's...lime green? It's MUCH easier to read, but you also said that you intended for it to be gold.

If the idea behind keeping Leyline of the Void over Rest In Peace is access to your graveyard, then why not run Planar Void? Cheaper and Zur-able.

trainer_teal: Planar Void still exiles cards from my graveyard where Leyline of the Void doesn’t. Neither really matters anymore though with the changes I’ve made to the deck. I still need to update the primer.

OOhh, I didn't notice that, same for RIP as you said in an earlier comment. Gotcha.

And quick follow up, what are you comboing the helm with now that you aren't running a GY exile tool?

trainer_teal: good point. Will have to remove that and find a replacement. Glad you pointed it out, thanx. Gonna stop cycling and featuring it till I get the primer updated and changes made.

Aside from Tamiyo's ultimate, was there any other reason you took out the Helm combo? I've found that in a pinch it's a great back up win con. I actually took Tamiyo out for Jace, the Mind Sculptor in favor of keeping Helm and RIP. I've built something similar to this, but have made a few play circle relevant mods. It's a really fun deck, and really competitive.

You don't have a sideboard listed in the primer, so I don't know if you have one for this deck, but if so, I'm thinking Mastermind's Acquisition would be a good tutor choice for you. I think it could replace Cruel Tutor. Acquisition costs 1 more, but goes into your hand and no life loss, plus has the option of fetching from your sideboard. Just a thought.

How do you use Reconnaissance on Zur when he has Shroud from Diplomatic Immunity ?

IAmTheWraith: Thank you for pointing out the mistake I made with diplomatic immunity. Changed it out for Curator's Ward and made the changes in the primer.

so this deck is pretty straight forward and its not that really annoying counterspell deck with the draw out mechanic wincon only so i'm happy to see some actual combos for wincon i do hope to one day own this deck but it will take me a long ass time unfortunately.

LordTsukune: Glad you like. I don’t care for all the doomsday/labman/adnauseum builds myself either. This deck has been extremely effective against any other decks I’ve put it against. The only deck I’ve run into that has a 50/50 rate against it is another Zur deck designed just to beat this one. As for being able to afford the deck, if you replace the expensive tutors, counterspells and lands with budget versions it’s still an extremely effective deck. Those are the types of cards I started out with building this deck. It has just evolved over the last 2 yrs of perfecting it.

xHarbinger: yes, it’s custom made by MSJ Alters. I stumbled across her page on Facebook. She does the best alter work I’ve seen yet. Do a search on the site and check out the rest of her work. She posts pics of all her alters. After messaging her to find out how I could get one done found out she lives in Switzerland so it takes awhile to get one done and here to the states. You have to either send her a copy of the card you want altered or she orders one after she’s commissioned and adds it to the total price. The process takes a few months simply because of how busy she is. Seems like she’s always backed up with orders.

Hey there, I saw a few comments around the site with you mentioning your deck coding. What do you think about mine? I'd be happy to help you out with your deck pages if you'd like!

I've continued to adapt this deck to something more my play style and that serves the meta in my play circle. I took some of the stax out just because I found myself an immediate target out the gate, my friends play pretty aggressive decks. For a few of those creatures, there are enchantment mirrors that are a bit harder to get rid of. I should post my build soon, thanks again for this great detail.

I don't really see why you have Liliana Vess and Venser in here. Seems janky in my opinion.

KayneMarco says... #25
CrimsonKing: Liliana is in the deck for extra tutoring capabilities and Venser is there for his ultimate and to blink Vess every turn so I can tutor with her every turn instead of every 3 turns.
