I havent seen a thread about it, and was a little surprised. Since MtG and Hearthstone are very similar, except for the fact Hearthstone is a lot more simpler.

And hilarious stories about your games? Favorite streamers? The deck you play in ranked? Blackrock Mountain spoiler talk? Anything you wanna share, im here to talk hearthstone!

As for me, im currently Rank 12 with Shaman Control, and got to Rank 7 last season with Mech Mage. I've been switching between those to decks throughout this season. My favorite streamer is probably Brian Kibler. Probably because he also plays magic, but i like him :)

I played quite a bit of HS last summer up through Christmas, but I haven't been playing much lately.

I heard the Undertaker was nerfed, which is great, but that won't change the fact that Auctioneer is 6 Mana #RIPMiracleRogue :(

My favorite deck right now is Control Priest :)

My favorite streamers are Brian "Brian Kibler" Kibler, Reynad, Kolento, Forsen and Sjow.

I play Hearthstone on and off, but what makes me not play it much is how slow it is to accumulate cards without buying them. I don't really want to spend money on that (especially with Magic in the way) but getting cards takes too much effort for me to even try on a daily basis.

On that note, it's definitely a change of pace, but since I don't have cards (like I said) I can't get higher than about Rank 16-17 or so.

I try to play at least a few times a week, and the decks I play during a session all depend on what my daily quests say. Staying free-to-play and not paying any attention to current deck tech means Rank 16 is usually my limit in any given season. Right now I'm saving up gold for the next Adventure, so it'll be a while before I get my next influx of cards to slightly improve things.

My best story from a recent game is when an opponent played a Fel Reaver against my Druid Spellpower deck. I decided to have some fun with that and ended up milling out my opponent's deck over the next few turns (hitting the Reaver with Naturalize at the end of it all, of course).

My brother is starting out, any suggestions for him?

@jandrobard Have him watch TrumpSC's "Trump Teaching" series - Link - This should teach him the basics and explain the hero powers etc. Then I would suggest looking at Trump's list of basic decks - Link - This should be a nice starting point for the decks, although he may add some of the Naxx cards depending on the class. After that, just play games and watch some of the popular streamers. Many of them explain the lines of play they are taking and showcase the most popular decks, so he should get a good feel for the metagame and what cards are good.

It's quick to pick up when you have half an hour to spare for a few games. I just do the dailys to gather some gold for packs, and with a couple of games a day or about an hour of play once in 3 days you gather gold quickly enough for the time spent to get new cards. You don't need all the legendaries to have a competitive deck, there's plenty of budget decks that perform well enough to get above rank 10.

It's also easy to brew with, last brew I made was a druid with all kinds of cards that fill both your own and your opponents hand, and then cards that profit from it. Very inconsistent but great when it works. That said, you don't see an awful lot of special decks but it's fun enough to kill the time.

The game is a lot of fun once you get into it. If you do Arena's from 150 gold and use a tier list and smooth your curve you can usually chain Arena runs pretty easily and build up your collection.

After that, I find Freeze Mage the most fun as a control player, but I have fun on Rogue Combo and Fatigue Druid

I, as most of you said, play Hearthstone as a Free to Play game. I havent bought any packs, and have built up quite the collection right now.

I enjoy Hearthstone over online Magic simply for the fact that I don't have to talk to my opponents.

People frighten me.
