Anybody else play Hearthstone? Is it better then magic?
In my opinion, Hearthstone is only more convenient, I still find magic to be more fun since I can windmill slam cards onto the table while making a joke.

ShimmerVoid Yeah, I've been grinding to try and get decent cards for awhile now.

I used to play ALOT and was semi competitive. I quit recently because blizzard has no idea how to run a card game. They are clueless to dominating meta decks, how to nerf cards, how to buff cards, and how to make the game fun for everyone via the earlier mentioned things that they also screw up on a daily basis.

I play a little bit. I've got really shitty pulls and bad decks, but I'm good enough as a player to be able to pilot the decks pretty well and pull wins out of my ass.
I'm StormCrow(#1234), anyone is free to add me

I played for a while, but got bored of it pretty quickly. Probably because there's no such thing as instants (traps are easy to play around for the most part), which takes away a lot of the mind games I enjoy about magic.

I like Hearthstone because it's fast and convenient to play, it has an interface that's friendly to both touchscreen and mouse (DotP is good for touchscreen, but is Menu Hell for mouse/keyboard), it just looks good, and it's possible to do well and have a lot of fun by spending $0.
However, Magic (I play paper and DotP) is a much deeper game, the balance is extremely well-managed, the rollout schedule for new sets keeps things fresh and interesting, and being around other people in RL events makes for an infinitely stronger social experience.

I play Hearthstone quite a bit. It's good fun when you have the cards to build actual decks with. Takes awhile to get there though, unless you spend money on it. I got most of the playable legendaries and cards now, without spending a single penny. So there's that. :P
It is different to MTG, that's what I would say. Less interaction, more RNG based. Better? In some ways. I love both though.
