Can we just talk about the new RGWU commander?

Disclaimer: I know that there have been cards released before that depict LGBTQ+ people, but I was neither aware of my own sexuality at the time, nor was I particularly interested in MTG.
This card, Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis, makes me really happy. I love that MTG has been embracing LGBTQ+ people over the past few years and not really making a big deal about it. As much I don't really like the mechanics or the color of the card, I really love the art, the lore, and the connection to Guardians of Meletis. Nice job Wizards.
Discuss if you want, but I just felt like we should continue to recognize the progressiveness of Wizards.

LeaPlath: Do you have a link to that? I'd love to read it.

While I can appreciate the progressive attitude, I am dissapointed with the card itself. Then again it is thematically accurate. It shows what a magic game would be without black.

Lilbrudder: I agree. I kind of wanted to kick ass with the new gay commander... But I can't stand group hug, either playing as or against it. Oh well. Maybe I'll just get a foil and keep it...?

Infinimage007: I feel the same way. I want to use the Kings but Group Hug isn't my style.
On topic: I hope Wizards releases an legendary asexual character. I will play the holy Bolas out of the card.

Phaetion For all we know they already have, I mean, Ashiok, Bolas, Eldrazi... Okay you want a human, huh.

Add in Alesha, which as a trans woman, is fantastic, Ashiok and the aetherborn being genderless, and things are looking pretty good for LGBTQA+ folks.
Wizards in general seem to be trying to move with the times in a very positive way, see the post by the author of the story about Kaya.
