Decided to start this up again
What's up folks!
I saw Crucible of Worlds was in the set other then that haven't really looked at it

I'm being conservative with my purchases this time around, only picking out cards from the spoilers I really want. The reason? The New Anthology. I picked it up, and it really set me back, but it was worth it as I now have 4 decks to use as I wish (You can see the upgraded decks on my page). I also have a coin flip deck but that's to the side.

Catalog9000, prices always drop a week or two after the release hype dies down, so unless you're picking up a playset of Scapeshift, you're probably better off not preordering singles.
Core 2019 seems like the best core set ever for sure. Sweet new Modern playables (potentially), some sweet casual tribal stuff, medium-power-level planeswalkers who won't break a format but might break a deck built around them, and some excellent EDH tech in there too. I'm excited to pick up some singles when I get the chance!

Oh, I agree. M19's been really good. If it wasn't so dull, I might have went ahead with Lathliss, Dragon Queen (Let alone have another Wheel of Fortune).

A long story short, the state government where I live enacted some changes a while back without telling those directly involved. My family owns a business where we made decisions unaware of the changes and It has cost us a quarter of a million dollars by a conservative estimate. I was looking to get myself a black bordered timetwister, but that's going to have to wait.
On the plus side, I like some cards from battlebond and got myself Jaces spellbook. Those are nice.

I am looking to pickup a third commander deck. I have nekusar as a combo-ish deck, saskia as a aggro-ish deck and now I want a control-ish deck. I had a wizard tribal Zegana, but she is just awful at closing out the game.
I am currently eyeing Muldrotha, but I will wait for the commander decks for this year to come out before finally settling.
In other news, M19 will be the first coreset prerelease I will attend.

TheDevicer That sucks! Seems like the government should’ve done a psa or something.
How much did Jace Signature Spellbook cost where you got it? It costs $34 on Amazon now, similar at my LGS, and the MSRP at a new one around.
I love the mystical tutor art.

I heard a lot of LGSs jacked up the prices on those spellbooks. Douchey if you ask me, and all for that foil lottery.
I'll just keep my eye on C18 instead and, in other news, the full spoiler for M19 should be tomorrow. All the mythics are done, and there's a few rares left (WHY WOTC? WHY Pelakka Wurm at Rare?).

Because of the product description, do you think we’ll get more planeswalker generals Phaetion? I think that’s more likely than the hype for all planeswalkers legal in the format as generals.
The wurm may be too strong in limited at uncommon, and that format is a big focus for them, but yes it seems silly haha.

A lot of people are trying to defend Pelakka Wurm at Rare because it's very good for an uncommon. My question to these individuals is wouldn't it have been better to design some other green fatty instead? Less feel bads when opening rarity upshifted cards even if the rare ends up being a junk mythic anyway.

I suppose Limited could very well be the reason. I may have limited (ha!) experience with the format, I could see why it would be good.
Homura_Akemi: I'm quite positive there'll be new planeswalker generals. Two on my list are Ramaz and Taysir (The latter is very specific: Read his lore and think of Partner).

I’m excited for Core 19. Normally I don’t like the core sets, but this one has a bunch of good reprints and exciting new commanders and planeswalkers.
