Merry Christmas, everyone! As we enjoy this jolly holiday, some of us have the great fortune to have vacation from work, so I wish to discuss that subject.
The company for which I work gives its employees a vacation from December 25 to January 1, which I obviously enjoy very much. I have not worked at any other company for a sufficient duration to learn whether or not they offered Christmas vacation, but I have heard that Christmas vacation is rare, so I a very glad that I had the fortune to work for a company that offers it.
What does everyone else say about this? Do you have Christmas vacation?

Mj3913, actually, that is the case for me, as well; it is less of a vacation and more that the company simply does not operate for a week, apart from its factories that are always operational, regardless of the day.

Vacation implies you get paid for your time off. I have no such luxury for its classed as a 'Plant Shutdown'. Stat days are paid as well as any vacation owing to you, but that's it. Still, about 2wks of time off ain't bad I suppose.
