Are you feeling it now Mr. Crabs?

EndStepTop says... #2

YES, I WANT MORE LEGACY DECKS!

September 13, 2014 3:28 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #3

in all seriousness i would pick up legacy in an instant if i had access to abur land

September 13, 2014 3:30 p.m.

EndStepTop says... #4

I have been buying ABUR duals for the last month building my legacy deck. That on top of the Wasteland s I needed, I murdered my wallet. Wasteland isnt even on the reserved list. =[

The_Raven says... #5

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your thread... Is there coming a "From the Vault: Reserved" or what?

September 13, 2014 4:50 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #6

It's a joke. The reserved list can't ever be reprinted [though people will get into HUGE arguments about if they should] and i thought hell why not just reprint all cards on the list? Yolo million dollar from the vault

September 13, 2014 4:53 p.m.

The_Raven says... #7

Oh, ok. I feel dumb.... :D

But WotC would really be making a lot of money, if they made such a thing....!

September 13, 2014 4:55 p.m.

EndStepTop says... #8

And WotC would make Legacy's barrier of entry much less of a hurdle.

September 13, 2014 5:02 p.m.

Stores would do the raping with a sandpaper condom and no lube, if such a product did ever come into existence.

September 13, 2014 5:29 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #10

They give foil playsets of everything too...original art

September 13, 2014 5:46 p.m.

Reserved masters

September 13, 2014 8:17 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #18

Why isn't wasteland on it anyways? It should be before abur lands...

September 13, 2014 8:18 p.m.

I don't think that Karakas is on the Reserve list, either. Have you actually checked out the list? Many cards on it are quite silly. Many others make sense.

September 13, 2014 9:27 p.m.

EndStepTop says... #20

When the reserve list was made I don't think wasteland was that much, and not a "collector" card.

September 13, 2014 9:28 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #21

I've seen it once or twice but never really paid much attention. It's very clear wizards has no intention right now of making legacy more accessible. Modern is too popular and easy to maintain

September 13, 2014 9:29 p.m.

Jesus of Suburbia is not a very good song.

I seriously doubt Wizards will ever reprint anything on the reserved list. I think functional reprints would be great, though. Print some duals under a different name. Collectors would still be happy, and more people would be able to afford legacy.

September 17, 2014 6:45 p.m.

MindAblaze says... #23

MaRo is quite frustrated with the reserve list. It prevents functional reprints just as much as it does actual reprints.

For example...there is a 2/2 first strike flier for WW on the reserved list. Seems like useful design space doesn't it.

September 17, 2014 6:49 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #24

That song is majestic you shut your whore mouth also yes at least duals would be nice

September 17, 2014 6:59 p.m.

You want majestic? Listen to Death and the Healing by Wintersun. That is a majestic song. Jesus of Suburbia isn't a bad song, but I certainly wouldn't call it majestic. And I certainly wouldn't call it Green Day's best song (though I stopped listening to them when that album was released).

I have a wonderful love/hate relationship with the reserved list. I hate it because I want to buy into legacy, but I love it because Wizards recognizes the significant investment people have made and doesn't want to devalue it.

Even functional reprints of ABUR duals would complicate things. Most competitive Legacy decks would probably just start running 4 of the original and 4 of the functional reprint... That wouldn't lower the barrier much.

September 17, 2014 7:41 p.m.

The easiest solution would be to ban the originals, reprint the new ones for cheap as balls, and that would fuck over soooo many people.

Or just play with shocks and fetches. Still a valid option. My american twin deck runs with fetches, shocks, and filters, and it runs just as well. It's a little worse against gobs than it owould be otherwise, but oh well.

September 17, 2014 8:49 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #29

Twin in legacy? I'm intrigued

September 17, 2014 8:53 p.m.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond ala Pink Floyd is one I consider majestic.

Anyone have sources where MaRo and other WOTC peeps have talked about reversing the banned list? Hell, they changed the Legend rule and got rid of core blocks...

September 17, 2014 9:05 p.m.

It's a stoneblade deck with twin and angel, and a playset of pod. Stoneforge mystic can turn into pestermite after plopping down the batterskull/jitte she searched, and pestermite carries swords like a champ. If you want a decklist I can upload it real quick, it's a cool deck. Fun as shit to play, although I love stoneforge mystic. I have slight bias.

September 17, 2014 9:07 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #32

I would love to see it. Shit did complicated though. It should be noted that greenday is not my favorite band.not is that my favorite song.

September 17, 2014 9:16 p.m.

Modern + Stoneforge Mystic. this is a really thrown together list, I don't have the actual deck on me, just the old list from when I threw it together. When my buddy gives me the deck back (borrowing it for a legacy tournament friday and wants to get aquainted with it), I'll update the list.

this is the jist of it though.

September 17, 2014 9:25 p.m.

That was when the deck was more combo-dependent, I've since taken out the splinter twins and added... Mana leak, I think? I can't afford mana drains :(

September 17, 2014 9:30 p.m.

-Fulcrum says... #35

Outcry by Dream Theater is majestic as fuck. To hell with Green Day.

...

Not really, I like them ok. Probably somewhere in my top 100 bands.

September 18, 2014 10:49 a.m.

You can't really compare any of those songs Jesus of Suburbia, because they aren't really in the same genre.

That is literally like me saying honeycrisp apples are better than granny smith, and you going "Fuck that, strawberries, are better."

September 18, 2014 1:12 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #37

vampirelazarus that actually made me chuckle "Fuck that, strawberries, are better."

I do like me some strawberries...

September 18, 2014 1:46 p.m.

The things are damn good, who doesn't like strawberries?

September 18, 2014 2:19 p.m.

While I agree they are good, they aren't apples.

September 18, 2014 4:32 p.m.

Same. I have a buddy that just is playing him, the deck is cool enough without armageddon, although Decree of Annihilation -ing with him is pretty vicious.

September 18, 2014 7:08 p.m.

Good music is good music, regardless of the genre. Chet Atkins and John Petrucci are worlds apart, but both are excellent guitarists. Django Reindhart and Steve Vai. Jimi Hendrix and Al DiMeola... Etc.

Early Green Day, much like Metallica, is best IMHO. Dookie and Ride the Lightning...

Fruity loop crap concocted in the basement doesn't count.
