I want to start playing more video games but I'm not sure what system to get. I currently have a Wii U and have CoD: BO2 and AC IV and really enjoy them. The rest of my library includes Mario games, new and old, and arcade games. I am trying to decide what system I want to get between the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. I'm not sure what exclusives are really fun and worth me getting one over the other or if they are planning to release new systems in a year an I should wait until then. I think I am currently leaning towards the Xbox One because a PC will cost a lot more and I heard that Halo is really fun and better than CoD. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would honestly suggest the ps4 simply on the specs. It has a little less lag and it's built as a game console, not a media device.
That said, pc is more inclusive with its games and, if you can afford it, it the best option.

Are both the Xbox and the PlayStation backwards compatible?
June 11, 2016 12:47 p.m.
Neither are but both are supposed to be introducing online streaming services where you can play old games online. Kind of like a netflix for games? I believe.

Xbox One IS backwards compatible with an increasingly large number of 360 games. From what I've seen, none of the exclusives are really ever that good, imho, at least not enough to make me want one over the other. Having played both PS4 and X1, I'm saving up to build my own PC. It will let me stream games and allow me to play games that I can only enjoy on PC: MOBAs. If you have any questions, I can give you more answers.

If you get nothing else from my last post, take only this: DISREGARD ALL EXCLUSIVES!!!Also, I didn't find the new Halo particularly enjoyable. I prefer CoD, but I don't play much of either these days.

Vergil_Redgrail - That's not exactly true. As I said you can stream titles online but as far as I'm aware you can't use your old discs.

It's easy to grab a console, plug it in and go but trust me when I say if you invest in a PC, even if it's not super beefy you'll be glad you did.
I dropped 2k on one back in 2007 and even though I only intended it to be a gaming PC I ended up being very happy that I had a nice computer to get me through the last 9 years and it's still going strong to this day. In fact I'm using it to write this comment. But remember you don't have to spend 2k or even half that to get really good value.
Take some time to do research into building decent gaming rigs on the cheap, it's more doable than people realize. Like I said it's not the easiest way but look at it as an investment. You can replace pc parts over time without buying a whole new rig.

Get a PC, that way you don't need to upgrade your system every few years.

Yes, you can use them. A simple google search is all that is necessary

I have ps4 and love ive neeb with Sony since the ps1 and and have been happy with all the systems. If your a casual gamer id suggest this as its ment to just play games and it's also the only system where youcan play uncharted 4 the best game out right now. Im not familiar enough with xbox so I can't say anything about it. As fat as pcs Unless you or someone you know knows what they're doing with pcs I'd stay away from them

What are some exclusive games that are worth playing and might influence my decision? Like how Xbone has Halo but PS4 has Uncharted.

Uncharted is not an Exclusive worth making a decision on. Neither is Halo, unless you play a lot of Halo. Mostly, multi-platform games are better than exclusives, and most PS4 exclusives are because they're Japanese-style games. I couldn't even deal with Uncharted 4 after an hour because it was the same as the other three, and less interesting. Plus they changed the controls a bit which I did not appreciate.

Personally uncharted is one of the best game series for the single player and the graphics. The only game that has better graphics then uncharted is the next uncharted. Halo however has the best online of any game I've ever played. Ps4 gas uncharted last of us and kingdom hearts. Xbox has halo gears of war and titan fall

Anyone here ever play Star Wars Rebellion? That is what I have been playing recently. My brother got me to get steam, and it was on there.

Okay. So, I decided to get the PS4 but I had a couple of questions: Should I wait until September - October-ish for the PS4 Neo (or PK4K or PS4.5)? If I do wait, would I have to get a 4K TV to maximise the viewing experience? And, what would be better: a projector or a TV?
June 14, 2016 9:19 a.m.
Yeah to get 4k graphics you need a 4k tv. But I don't think the ps4k it's coming out till next year unless Sony already made an announcement

PC requires mad bank to start out but is well worth it. #pcmasterrace
XBOX has more people and Microsoft gets their grubby hands on more exclusive first launches and titles (Still waiting on new Tomb Raider to come out for PS4 -___-) Also has a larger online player base.
PS4 is a stronger system in terms of hardware and Sony brings a lot of more innovative ideas to their people before their competitor. A lot of the new Xbox Live features that Microsoft unveiled at E3 yesterday are things that have been on PSN for a long time now. The most original idea I saw from that feature was their "Arena" concept to support competitive gaming and creating a basis for players to create their own tournaments and leagues.
Personally XBOX is my least favorite simply because of how much they try and covertly screw people over. PC is the way to go if you can afford it, but I would recommend PS4 as far as console go.
But if you're COD fanboy who wants to play with friends you'll be better off on XBOX.
Halo is accessible to PC players, but only the first two games. They stopped releasing titles after that.
PC will get you better graphics and more options. Also there's no game store on the planet that's more affordable than Steam. That will be your go-to for PC games.

Everything he said was spot on minus the graphics part no game even comes close to uncharted 4

I mean if you enjoy first person shooters like CoD then the Xbox is probably the one to get because both Gears of War and Halo are fantastic examples of the genre. Both of those games are fantastically fun and great experiences.
On the other hand the PS4 has traditionally offered experiences that don't cater so much towards high octane shooting experiences. Games like Uncharted, and Infamous for example are fantastic and not necessarily innovative but certainly provide something very different to your average shooter. The PS4 also has better indie game support if you ever explore titles from smaller studios.
It really depends on what you want. If you want the most high budget, exciting shooters then get an Xbox without a second thought. If you want to sample a wider range of experiences then the PS4 is great.
PCs obviously allow you to play whatever you want given the immense availability of all genres on platforms like Steam but decent computers can be expensive.
