You know what's bugging me all day?
Reading epochs thread and seeing so many people tell him that he's not qualified to make the sort of arguments he did. It's besides the point i guess but 90% of this site recognizes his staples list as official and to a degree I've never heard a single person complain that his article defining commander as incorrect so wtf tappedout?Unpopular opinion puffin: if the RC keeps this up i think a new RC is in order. One that makea decisions objectively.
/End Rant. Sorry for bringing it back up i just couldn't keep silent. I will however drop it now

Yeah I'm amazed it's still going on, to be honest. I figured there'd be a few people who'd say something along the lines of "You're fucking stupid, go home" but instead logical arguments are presented and he just doesn't give a shit.

Having been here but for a third of a year, I can't judge that very well VA, but it seems that Epoch doesn't have as much authority as he deserves in the area of EDH. People should shut up and listen for once.

I'm not saying he's right because he's an admin. Hell I'm not saying he's right. It just bothers me that people are fine taking another's word up until it's no longer convenient. Either he knows enough for you to listen or he doesn't and you stop using the lists and article.

No, that was most certainly unintentional. It was me being an idiot. sigh Next time I'm going to at least second check the cards I throw in. I used my old b/w token build as the basis, which is why the tidehollow was in there. I feel like banging my head against the wall right now to be honest.

I mean, there's something to be said for being an academic with a background in writing. Part of the problem is that some of the stuff just goes over people. Maybe that's not their fault, but I've seen plenty of people who just read things I didn't write and certainly didn't mean. Fixing those misconceptions is probably the most tiresome part.

VampireArmy I couldn't agree more and I'm glad you brought it up. (Side note: forums got weird I noticed). It really is unfortunate. I mean, I'll debate with Epochalyptik over whether or not Goyf should be banned in Modern, but that debate would end up being an actual debate. Unbeknownst to T/O I too am an academic! Well... sort of. I get my BA of History soon. Anyway, the point is I agree.
Epochalyptik I agree that some of your writing might go over some users' heads. But again, my background in history means I've also been taught to write and communicate ideas in an academic fashion, so following your train of thought isn't particularly difficult, but that is my experience. That being said, I would argue that it is better to write clearly, even if it is misunderstood, because it is easier to reflect upon what you yourself have written, so that in turn it would be easier to explain your thoughts to those who require an explanation.

I wake up from my regular appeasing of lust, reload just chatting: 404. Remove the comment and page section, it works, but now only 100 pages, however our conversations were still there at around page 98, so I thought a bunch of the middle pages were chucked out. COMPLETELY didn't realize there were #50 posts per page now till I read through the comments on page 101. (Yes, I read through ALL the comments when I wake up.)
