Ok guys, but for real though. We've had our fun at this guy's expense, but I think it's time to move on to a different subject. Like, for all we know this could just be some 9 year old that we're pooping on with zero regard. Sure, you can argue that "That's what happens on the internet", but really, if that's how we're going to act he might quit the game, which goes against everything that this site looks for. So what if his fun isn't the same as yours? If you have a problem with him, just ignore him and maybe he'll go away - or better - learn how to act on a forum. What if he comes into this thread and reads all of this? Let's not keep shitting on this guy; we as a community are supposed to be better than that.
Now, how many of you guys are taking part in that Modern Tourney that the Chief and company are holding? How are you liking it? You learning anything about your deck? Maybe some deck that you would have picked different?
Personally, i'm playing my blue tron list and am having a blast. I haven't taken the deck to a competitive event yet, but all my kitchen table practice with it seems to be paying off. The deck's super solid, and I love it. I'm also seeing a bunch of people experimenting with Young Pyromancer. Thoughts? Sorry if this has already been discussed, if it has, someone else suggest a new topic.

Its nice to see that trolls can outrank people who like to give genuine advice on decks and help people get into modern. I know rank doesn't matter but still.

I currently haven't played any games against anyone. I made a last minute switch to my Sultai Control deck... and I'm apprehensive about that. I was play testing my Esper Mentor deck rigorously. I switched because I felt that control might be better suited since it is my preferred play style. I think it might come back to haunt me though.

ThatJunkMage, I played a round against chief and I won 2-0. I'm use a janky Polymorph tokens deck that seeks to get out Emrakul. I might be playing a game really soon as well with someone else in my bracket. I've been having a blast with it.

Can delver sill be a thing? I tried, but it's rough not having any card over CMC 3 to win by turn four... Young Pyromancer seems to be better than delver.... Delving into Blood

I saw that you weren't on Tokens, and I was Flabergasted. How dare you play something different? (Entirely disregarding the fact that the guy that once stuck strictly to blue, then disregarded that in favor of junk, just to go back and play a blue deck)
It seems like everyone's on some sort of janky list though, which is cool. I really want to catch chief's big zoo deck in action, it looks sweet.

I made a twin build awhile back that ran Young Pyromancer. It was really fun but something felt wrong about it. I never felt I had a good time to cast him because of the counter magic I had in hand.

I didn't completely abandon my tokens! In fact my third game I won purely through tokens. And his deck is very nice.

I've been thinking about a tokens build utilizing Young Pyromancer, Monastery Mentor, and Myth Realized along with a slew of instants and junk like, all week. Seems like it'd just be ok, might need a blood moon or some other form of lock to work though.

Asher18 Delver is still decent, but without any real form of card draw that actually grosses you cards it can be really hard to win grindy matches. I actually felt it was more suited before cruise was printed than it is now. Or maybe cruise just tainted my image of the past.

I wanted to play blue moon, but then I saw that Blood Moon was like a $20 card, and I'm like "Ain't no way that's happening."
Then I saw the price of Vendilion Clique was like $10,000 and I just poured a big bucket of nope all over that campfire.

So I'm watching Ryotenchi and xzzane on untap. xzzane casted a T1 Inquisition of Kozilek. He could have discarded AEther Vial, I think something else and Loxodon Smiter. xzzane decided that logic was the way to go and chose the Smiter. Lesson: get more than 2 hours of sleep kids.

Im assuming itll end up some wierd mono green list with splash for Bob and Discard.. Trying to do something neat though...
