That's fine Ryotenchi, like I said, venting is good. I'm the last person to tell people what to do, all I can do is suggest a path for people and point out that they have cookies down the path I want you to go on. :P
That being said, keep in mind the adage of "do unto others only what you would have done unto you." (Not the Van Hellsing version please.....) Discuss the sillyness but just imagine if you were IM and saw everything that has been said.

On another subject, if Ive posted a deck help page for a deck and the deck no longer represents those cards anymore but I would like sideboard help; would it be better to make a new one for it or necro the old one?

Just read everything in the thread yeago just closed. Very well stated thoughts by both Ohthenoises and CanadianShinobi. I'll try to do my part by trying to be more patient with him in the future, and try to help out without getting as frustrated as I have in the past with him.

On another note, Guys, I traded away most of a modern robits deck (Full deck - Inkmoth Nexus and 3Mox Opal) for all of a modern merfolk deck + 3 True-Name Nemesis... Did I do good?

As far as economics go, I have no idea haha. But do you like playing merfolk more than affinity? If so, then I say it was a good trade.

Affinity was too easily hated on. And if there's anything about blue that I still love doing, it's trolling people with Spreading Seas whilst yelling "SPREAD EM!".
So basically it was either play Merfolk or Blue Moon, and I ain't payin' no $20 Dolla fo no Blood Moons!

Last night old, cant get any attention on it with all thats been going on though..

All I really need is a down to earth rip my deck apart criticism of it, and some sideboard thoughts..

Nah but you're probably fine. I don't know how much Legacy fish differs from Modern fish, but it's a good start if you wanted to play both.

Can't get rid of those blue roots so easily, eh? How competitive is Legacy merfolk compared to modern merfolk? My knowledge of legacy is paltry at best.

I threatened the guy that I was posting the robots online if he didn't trade me right then and there, so... yeah... sorry! Blame my trade partner.
The legacy deck really only needs 4 Daze, 4 True-Name Nemesis, and 4 Force of Will to be as good as it can. I already have the dazes and prot-fish, so it's probably the easiest conversion around.

To be honest, I probably wouldn't have been able to afford the Affinity lists anyway, even without Opals. My trade stock is poor.

It was a basic Ensoul Artifact list that I ripped offline. Had 2 rogue Master of Etherium chillin out in there, which was weird, but worked sometimes.
Honestly, since changing my name, I've wanted nothing but to play blue decks in eternal formats. Mono blue Delver in legacy and pauper, blue tron and merfolk in modern, now legacy merfolk too... I bring shame upon the Orzhov Syndicate.

Also, the legacy deck is highly unpopular, but it's just as good as any other deck that runs Force of Will and resilient threats. Tier 2 at best, of course, but it's a solid meta call sometimes.

Cash is actually preferred KEK but I have time, I've held onto it for this long.
It was actually my first modern deck back when it was, you know, budget.

The Orzhov Syndicate frowns upon your actions. Hahahaha well just play what you like, and have fun with it is what I say. So anyone have any ideas on how to get more people to play modern? The local game shop here at my college wants to start modern FNMs if he gets the people. Which would be fantastic, because I have to say, I really miss playing in paper with players beyond my casual playgroup.

Sadly I did not get ay FoWs in the trade... But they're not too hard to come by, and they can always be reprinted! *Crosses fingers
And yes, it does run wasteland, which is currently being budgeted to Ghost Quarter because what's a basic land in this format? Sure, it's bad in the matchups that it's bad, but when are you going to wasteland a burn player anyway?

xzzane Hold Proxy Tournaments while having a solid stock of modern staples in the cases. That's probably the best way to start a modern scene. It takes quite a long time, but once people get the modern bug there's no going back.

Otherwise, I wouldnt know how yeh would market the format to new people and those ultra competitive standard players blowing 500-600$ on a rotating deck.. and for whatever reason dont like modern. :/

ThatJunkMage The difference between Quarter giving them a consolation land and Wasteland not is huge in Legacy. Just sayin.
Like, at a certain point, if you don't have the scratch, you really shouldn't be playing legacy. I get not having the budget for 10 duals, but if you can't drop 150 on a couple of wastelands at least...

xzzane I've always believed that you have to feed both wolves in equal portions.
Big long reasoning but feeding both wolves is the only real way to prevent "the ends justify the means" behavior.

It's on my to-do list. I play legacy once or twice a year, so it's not a high priority.
Also, for one reason or another people are extremely unwilling to sell / trade away Wasteland. Like, if I had the trade fodder, I could get you a playset of Volcanic Island no problem, but ask for a Wasteland, and I just have no luck.

Yes, some people see themselves as good. But a vast majority of people don't. Its not that they see themselves as good, but more, try to be good. It's the fact that they have set the bar above where they're currently at.

I consider myself on the good side of things. I help people whenever I can, I try not to procrastinate, I am generally a moral person by most people's standards. I certainly have my faults, I can be selfish at times, but I generally try not to be. Not to bring religion into this, but basically I am a Christian, and I believe it is my responsibility to be a good representative of Jesus (I wish more Christians saw it that way). Anyway, that is why I try to be as good as I can be

CommanderOfBolas You seem to understand what religion is about. It's not about the technicalities. It's not about whether god exists, or is Jesus actually healed people. It's about doing what you can to make a better world.
Ryotenchi Morality is inefficient. But so is corruption. Of course I want a better world, but there are definitely things that people must accept, and sacrifices that must be taken in order to accomplish that goal.
Humans, as a species, are fighting against evolution and Darwinism. I'm no advocating murder, but we should stop helping others.
