That actually sounds like exactly how much I have to spend on my Path to Perfection deck. Lucky for me, Monastery Mentor is going down in price. About a dollar a week.

Man, I love protein shakes. My last tub was chocolate, but this time I switched to vanilla. Two scoops, about 14 ounces of milk, a tablespoon of peanut butter, and a teaspoon of honey makes the body happy.

I decided I didnt like playing something common...
So I went from budget $ level Tier 1(Burn), and semi budget Tier 1(Affinity) to... thing that is easy to hate on, prob will kill me first but its not commonly played...(DGA 800-900$)

Ahahahah just take a look at my esper and blue moon decks guys, both are around $700 :p
God, finished the ENAC entry test, and I'm almost dead. Have to wake up at 7 am tomorrow to see someone I do not like. Duh. :<
Anyway, I think I'll use my free time to start an article serie which will have for goal to take a strange standard or modern legal card and build a deck around it. Haven't got any ideas for the name, and was thinking of Precursor Golem to get things started.
Watcha thikin' about that?

I could see Precursor Golem in some 
tribal Splicer deck alongside Restoration Angel and a bunch of blink effects.

The goal is to be able to have a least a way to deal a turn 4 kill involving the card I have to break. So red mana could be nice too maybe? Or at least going for some heavy control shell?

Just go for the control. Also, if you really do want to run Precursor Golem, you've gotta have Spellskite and ten million counterspells or else the person you're playing against is going to topdeck Lightning Bolt and have the biggest shit-eating grin on their face, as if they hit the fucking jackpot on a lottery ticket and bought their way to the grand finals of a GP.

First draft of the deck: Let's break Precursor Golem!
Added that little changeling, protection, buff and counterspells. No blade splicer yet, because I had to think of ways to cheat the golem asap.

I avoid hyped cards... until I learn their the only option... its more of a wall I put in front of myself..
There really aren't that many good options.. Same with the modern archetypes.. feels very stale. :(

I try not to. The reason I go crazy is b/c on the weekends all my friends are doing boyscouts, and I'm alone. thankfully, They only do that on sat and sun, so... prolly wont have issues.
