For the record there are exactly three people who have the authority to tell anyone what they can and cannot post here

I'm going to close this discussion as follows:
You don't have a right not to be criticized. Not here. Not anywhere. Not under any circumstance. Get used to it. Your right to believe as you choose does not include a corollary right not to experience dissent.
Further, there's a difference between criticizing a perspective by presenting valid and reasoned arguments and criticizing a perspective by saying "that's wrong because I say so." Case in point: there's a difference between saying "my philosophy is X because Y" and saying "I believe X and everything else is immoral or wrong."
If you can't handle the basic realities of discussion, I suggest that you not get involved. If you transgress against logical decency, I will call you on it.

Now, to get back to just chatting, today's my first day full time in about half a year.
April 13, 2015 3:54 p.m.
I have an opinion and you're a worse person than me because you disagree.
Yeah, well I have facts that prove your opinion is illogically based.
I don't care about your facts. Since they go against my beliefs they don't mean anything
-Insert any topic and you have pretty much every internet argument ever.

Whoa I was lost in the void and pages and pages of ridiculousness arose in my absence. Glad to see memes and chatting again. I just wanna say that a few pages back someone had said '"normalcy" for the lack of a better word', I believe is how it was phrased, I like the word normality in its place, may have been what you were looking for. Lol

Thanks FAMOUSWATERMELON.
Got to play a bunch of edh yesterday. One guy ran what I think was a snake tribal. It was pretty cool.
Played a couple with my Full Blown Aides deck, and it actually won one of them somehow. The other was a pretty crazy mess, just how I like it. Possibility Storm, and Timesifter both out was fun.
I am curious how Jhoira of the Ghitu, and Arcane Laboratory work. I will prob as a rules Q&A later. A judge said something yesterday, and I think I might be playing that wrong.

In other news, I realized I've been a holdout and that Anticipate is really good. Like, in everything.

Anticipate. Telling Time is better if you've got a fetchland, yes, but Anticipate is at least as good otherwise. I'm told the math works out for Anticipate being better by a little (which I'm not quantifying yet because I think it's BS).
A friend of mine played Twin to 2-1 at FNM with four in his deck, losing to Abzan 2-1 and 2-0ing his other opponents. In the testing I've done the card has really outperformed TT.

VampireArmy says... #41
So we can Anticipate more of that card at the next modern event?
Huehuehue
April 13, 2015 5:53 p.m.
I think it's a pretty good card. I just don't see how it's that much better than TT. Essentially the question is this - the best card goes into your hand, and the worst on the bottom, but would you rather the second best card stays on the top or goes to the bottom?
How can you ever answer that question definitively?
Epochalyptik runs blue, or ran blue - what do you think?
April 13, 2015 5:56 p.m.
I think Anticipate is better than Telling Time mainly because of the following. You can break down the cases of the three cards you see from Anticipate/Telling Time into four groups: Three good cards (GGG), Two good cards and one bad one (GGB), One good card and two bad ones (GBB), and three bad cards (BBB). In the cases of GGG or GGB Telling Time is a little better because you get to keep a good card on top, but in a format with fetchlands the fact you are bottoming a card with Anticipate in this advantage is marginal at best. In the cases GBB or BBB Anticipate is much better because you don't have to draw that bad card immediately. Again, this gets better with fetches because you can choose when to shuffle the bad cards back into your library instead of keeping them on the bottom.

Telling Time vs Anticipate is kind of tricky. I never played Modern, and I don't play Standard.
That said, I think I like Anticipate a bit more because it allows you to get rid of two less optimal cards without requiring that you have another effect to assist you. Will there be times when you wish you could keep one on top? Sure. Likewise, there will be times with Telling Time when you wish you could throw both away. You may not always have the fetch land to facilitate that. And you're typically not going to reveal two irreplaceably critical cards off of one cast, so I think Anticipate does have the edge.

@JWiley129 Just did that breakdown myself. It's a case of how often each scenario comes up, and how often you expect to have shuffle effects in play. For the sort of decks I like to play, BBG comes up a great deal because a lot of my cards are 10 or 1 in terms of power level (ex. when I'm digging for Scapeshift or Shatterstorm). It's actually quite rare how often you hit two cards that you really want and feel legitimately bad about bottoming one.
For my next trick, I'm going to brew Dragon Jeskai for Modern.
April 13, 2015 6:18 p.m.
I play BG/x so I usually get GGB with my draws. Though when I play control I know it's usually a case of BBG.
