Ok. That makes more sense. I discovered recently that with the opacity attribute you cannot have a child have a different opacity than the parent element. RGBA gets around this but it isn't compatible on older version of IE (why do people still use this?).

How is "tambien" Japanese? The only sound independent of a vowel is "n." It would have to be "tamubien" or something of that sort. Besides, why would anyone even bother typing the characters in here? Just writing in a different language doesn't have the words show up and the other way is probably tedious.

I don't know why, but I just love using Spongebob memes.

People say that show is for little kids.

Damn, if 40 year-old men can watch 'My Little Pony', I can watch Spongebob however much the fuck I want without it being weird. That show is the shit.

April 21, 2015 11:53 p.m.

bigguy99 says... #31

Dropping the "u" doesn't change the way it'd be written and interpreted. "Desu" (meaning "is" but only used in formal speaking) is usually shortened to not including the "u" when talking, but it's still written the same way and it's still spelled in English the way it's written - with two characters, being "de" and "su."

Finished watching "We're the Millers". Very well done. Great movie I would definitely recommend. Up there on my list of comedies somewhere with "TED" and "A Million Ways to Die in the West".

Hey scrotality, maybe your kids would enjoy those! XD

That show has some adult humor or something that parents get all wound up over... maybe its not just for kids..

kyuuri117 says... #34

As someone who has "bronies" at my local game shop, I don't think it's that My Little Pony has adult themes in it. I asked one of em months ago why they were wearing a shirt and belt, and using deck sleeves, of the same animated pony. He was actually pretty straight forward. The answer? He found it attractive.

I was sorta confused at that point but dropped the subject with a mental note to look this up later. And what do i find? Apparently there is an absolute fuck ton of my little pony rule 34 stuff on the internet. Honestly, I find it kinda creepy that a kids show has been turned into a sexual fetish. To each their own and all that shit but seriously, I think it's odd.

also, just for the record - my daughters like to make boardgames, and they often ask me to print out pictures of their favorite cartoon characters so that they can make game pieces out of them. there isn't a show that they've had me to search for yet that didn't have some kind of sexualized portrayal of the characters show up on google images. hell, even powerpuff girls had shit like that.

April 22, 2015 12:54 a.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #38

It's when people cling to characters as sexual fantasies and visibly portray it that makes things just ... ugh.

Ryotenchi says... #39

I meant spongebob has those themes.. I know nothing of these ponies.. except that they have not enough pylons or something..

A couple days a go I was researching splinter twin, and I went on google images. There was an alter with two nearly unclad women. Things are getting out of control.

Honestly, I have no problems with porn, but it NEEDS to stay on porn sites where it belongs. It's like when I go on Tapped Out, I don't want every deck I see to be abzan midrange. I'm okay with a small few, but not everywhere.

And scrotality, how old are your daughters?

Bro, I'm not one to deny it. I occationaly watch porn if I have nothing better to do. If someone tells me they don't at least once in a while I won't believe them unless they have a really good alibi. Most people do, male and female. It seems to me there is a large misconception that only guys watch porn? Bogus. We may be a majority, but we represent easily less than 90%.

April 22, 2015 2:30 a.m.

sigh I'm now done my undergrad. It's strange. It becomes even stranger when people I know want families and to settle down. Where as I want to see the world. I want to learn and learn until I am old and can no longer do anything. I want to teach. I want to give people something. I can't understand the people around me anymore. It saddens me.

For nearly all my life I have been in school. Except for a year where I had to work. Even in that year I craved school. I wanted to learn. I devoted every spare moment I could to learning. And now, after four years of working for grades and writing at least 50 essays it's done. I'll receive my degree in June. While others are off solidifying their lives with their university sweethearts I'll be praying I get accepted for a job in Japan come January-February. I have a job, but... I lack passion. I like ambition for it. All I desire is to be in a classroom. But I want to teach. To impart knowledge and to learn through teaching.

Many people on this site are older than me. They still reconcile their hobby and love with the game. Yet I, the simple 23 year old, struggle with the concept of carrying this into full adulthood.

There is a quote by C.S Lewis I turn to when my despair reaches beyond the scope of what I desire:

Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.

And yet I given the quotation before me, I question what I mean by "adulthood". In many ways I consider myself an adult, in spite of what others may deem childish. It seems, however, what I suffer from is a malady of the soul. A strange notion indeed, coming from an atheist, but I am not devoid of spirituality. I simply do no believe in deities. But that does not mean I do not possess some means of expressing aspects which one would deem unfathomable.

But, I apologize. I did not know where else to post these ramblings of someone, who is clearly overwrought and pointlessly afflicted by the natural course of life.

I have been on this site for nearly two years now. In that time I have grown to appreciate our shared hobby. I've become more knowledgeable of the game and I have been able to grow as a player. I suppose my only hope is that I have been a positive influence on the T/O Community as a whole. And that I will continue to be a positive influence. I hope that, through my experience I have taught others something about the game, especially in the area which I deem my specialty, control.

I'm sorry everyone, for the length of this post. Clearly I have broken about 7 different rules. I simply had no other means of expression.
