This is anime. In that context yes.
The one who gets her only does so by manipulation, pulling rank, and forced obligation. The one who deserved her fought tooth and nail for her safety, actually listened to her, had actual character progression with her that didn't involve her feeling indebted to him 24-7. It's hard to explain my point but in a more babasic sense, there's never a legitimate relationship between her and the guy she chooses as the only time they ever spent any elapsed amount time together, he spent it lying.
What I'm getting at is if you want to have a romance, try to at least have some character progression as to WHY they are in love. Not just "he saved my life" "i owe him x"

I understand you're speaking within the context of a narrative. I just think you might want to question your own ideas about why you may think that someone "deserves" to have a relationship with someone else due to some behavior and/or action.
You may have wanted her to end up with someone...again within the context of the narrative, but the sense of obligation is where the propagation of a dangerous notion lies.

It's not from a Personal perspective i assure you. My qualm here is the severe lack of character development and chemistry. No effort at all was given by the writters to develop the relationship between the alleged protagonist and her. The other annoying factor is the obvious ways that the protagonist and the antagonist are pretty much exactly the same yet the anine asks us to condemn one and feel sorry for the other.
I suppose it could easily be my own bias. I don't rule that out but i do not believe that's the problem here

Well elpokitolama, I'm sorry for beating your shit back in your ass with 2 swiftspears yesterday. : )
So, are you down for a few games?

If VampireArmy isn't up for some league match, yes. But do you remember when you said that mill deck were weak? And when Dragonstorm couldn't work out? :p

VampireArmy says... #10
Same reason i dislike deathnote really....but seriously this is a very unlikable protagonist and they WANT YOU TO LIKE HIM wtfffffffff
Also I'll be home in roughly 5mins
April 22, 2015 1:09 p.m.
Bro, during mill I got creature screwed and at that point you were just relying on luck. Against dragonstorm not only did you hit a nut draw, I ALSO DIDNT LOSE!

What, you found a way to deal with 5 dragons on game that dealt lethal damage to you just by coming into play? Even with your way to count stormed dragons damages, you were at 2 HP. Turn 4 combo man, I began and you didn't play a deck able to shoot some Supreme Verdict :p

Psychology exam done.
I always feel like I've gotten the same grade each and every time I do a Psychology exam. Like around 60%.

VampireArmy, so it is not told like a fairy tale? This one had a realistic outcome from what it sounds like. Sounds like the dude was friend-zoned. Was it worth watching? I might try it.

elpokitolama says... #19
Femme_Fatale and... Is it a "good" grade? In my current studies, even a 40% (or 8/20) can be considered as a good one so... I don't really know what's the real difference between "good", and "bad" grades. ~~''(/@-@)/

Didgeridooda : Friendzoned? Not really relevant. If she chose no one, it still would have made more sense. poor development is poor. Worth watching? If you got a day to waste and can get this for free I see why not. Otherwise? No, not really.
April 22, 2015 1:28 p.m.
Ha, over here anything below a B (83%) is considered bellow average...

UBC is considered pretty hard to get good grades. So yeah, getting a passing grade of around 60 is decent. 70 is when you are happy with yourself.

Also, anime is known to have incredibly poor writing. Most likely it was derived from a manga. Manga generally fall into two categories: good art or good writing. This is mainly because one person is usually doing all the work (sometimes a team is doing it though), and it is rare to have one person have good skills in both areas.
April 22, 2015 1:37 p.m.
And then you get Berserk, which has absolutely fantastic art and writing. I'd like to say the same about Fukumoto's stuff, but his early art (look at Akagi where, in the beginning, everyone had the body of a fridge but it was still incredible) was just horrid.

Going to work on the format primer. Update Delver to reflect the recent black splashes. Also mention the green splash because Quirion Dryad is awesome. Add Murderous Cut to the removal options.

Scorprix don't worry, it doesn't mean that we're bad. It's just one of France's hardest path to the most prestigeous schools we have here... It's goddamn hard to keep the morale up because of this, tho. :<
If I take part of the anime/manga topic, I d'like to say that if you look for a damn great incredible beyond amazing anime, just try out Magi. Both the manga and the anime are sharing great art, and great writing. :D
What are you reading theses times? Personally, I'm reading Bleach, Fairy Tail (both because I'm used to those), UQ holder (Negima's sequel, really good), Magi (great) and Boku no Hero Academia (BEST GODDAMN MANGA OF THE PAST TWO YEARS). :)

ChiefBell: in my opinion, Murderous Cut is one of the best removals that you might run in modern. You can almost cast it for the amount of mana you want! Yeah, It's not a turn one or two (unless in selfmill decks, which I'm trying to play right now), but when you cast it... (heavy breath)

I don't read manga. My free time is rare enough that I can't devote enough time to it. I do watch whatever is on netflix if it's long enough though and I was simply frustrated at a story presenting itself as a fairy tail then failing miserably...or maybe it was trying to be dark and edgy in which case it succeeds well at being the Japanese 50 shades of grey.
April 22, 2015 2:45 p.m.
The opposite is true for me in regards of anime vs. manga. I can read really fast, so getting through a manga takes me relatively little time. Anime, on the other hand, I'm stuck at a fixed pace. Plus I generally like the manga plot better.

xzzane very true about the plot. Always seems to make more sense. Even in this story, apparently the plot thickens later and she figures something out about how wicked the vamp dude really was. I might have to read this one purely out of a desire to not have it end on such a stupid note

Psychology exams are freaking hard. I remember one exam (it was in a 400 level exam), I ended up getting like a 40% on the damn thing (it was mostly essays), and that 40% ended up getting me a B.
Anyway, on the topic of anime... does anyone else get super annoyed (like, super, super annoyed) when these anime's take random ideals/concepts and blow them dramatically out of proportion? For example, a character who's so focused on his ideals that he absolutely refuses to compromise (unlike a real person) in a situation that realistically calls for a compromise and starts making impassioned speeches about it?
I guess an actual example would be Psycho-Pass, if anyone's seen it? The entire show's focused on "if people get too mad they become irredeemable murderers so we (the police) need to kill them (no if's, and's or but's about it) before they trigger when their meter gets too high. It's like once the persons passed some number, they are never ever going to calm down, they are always going to commit murder past this number, and it's possible that absolutely everyone in the world could be affected by this oddity. It just doesn't make any sense but they take it so seriously.
That's just one example that comes to mind but it feels like absolutely ever animated show that I've ever watched has unrealistic over-blown dramatics of some kind, no matter how serious the show is trying to come across.

I watched the anime VampireKnight on Netflix becsuse it was there...
The ending was terrible and the main "good guy" was basically a manipulative asshole who only cares for his own selfish desires and STILL gets the girl in the end. I read the wiki a bit though and apparently that's not how the manga leaves it which is great.
There was a much more relatable and developed character who deserved the girl. My jimmies become very rustled about this
