More nice cards in DTK. Really liking the new Combust for 
. Kills both creatures for Twin and even shit like Restoration Angel but alas Siege Rhino is still alive. Is that reason enough to run Combust over it?

EDH players: Who was your first general? and anything interesting about your first days of commander?
Mine was Eight-and-a-Half-Tails and for a while I thought planeswalkers were legal as generals...Venser was broke as shit as a commander.

First commander was Melek. The first game I got bored. Then I rambled around commanders and now have settled with Intet, because I can run a fucking dragon deck. DRAGONS!
When I was a wee lad I played Yugioh and had a dragon deck. It was great.

CanadianShinobi I played yugioh and before that pokemon and each time I get into a card game it's because the art draws me in. Stupid Swamp! Because of you're mana symbol I've spent thousands on magic.

So originally it was just a straight up control deck. Loads of counters some burn. Big finishers. I found a few things that combo later and was like...yeah okay I'll do that. True story i used to love control and combo. Used to love the groans from my group...then i discovered Boros. Then mardu. I was very close to building splinter twin and becoming a straight blue player....chose the aggro lyfe instead ;3
That was thanks to my buddy lending me his premade kaalia deck a bunch of times

My first commander was Niv mizzet, dracogenius. It was a fun control deck. Lots of burn, lots of card draw, lots of people who won't play with me anymore. Oh well.

My first commander was Eight-and-a-Half-Tails, buuut I'd love to build a Tasigur EDH deck.
My theroretical build is here (the end result probably won't include the Mana Drain and Imperial Seal lol, but I can budget for/have the rest of the cards.)

My first deck was a simic standard deck that rebolved around Invisible Stalker, Giant Growth and Tandem Lookout.
My second deck was Desecration Demon, Liliana of the Veil, Mind Rot, Ultimate Price, Tragic Slip, and Vampire Nighthawk. That was when lili was like $20.
My third deck was my teneb edh deck that I slowly upgraded to have Abur lands and imperial seal etc.
My habit went from there.

Also I'm fiiiine I've just built literally the best mardu list i have the ability to make right now so I'm going to finish buying it and use it in fnms and stuff. In the mean time i would like to start a control list that is a little more well positioned in the meta

I just don't like Mentor. I prefer a very heavy control type of deck. Used to run Jeskai before it was called Jeskai (omg mom I'm so cool) and had only 4 Snappys in it. Tried Esper with just an AEtherling. A lot of things didn't work.

Esper is really hard to play, but the reward is worth the pain! And even if I'm definitively an Izzet mage, Esper is by far my favorite wedge. Jeskai is second, Jund and Abzan class themselves third :D
