One more thing:
Do any of you have any idea how horrible it is to trade 3-for-1 for one Lingering Souls?
I managed to win that one, though. Remand is strong.

Vampire Army you should try play Mardu Twin, Village Bell-Ringer, Restoration Angel and Kiki.
Unburial Rites because why not.

Totes will whip that up for you. The obvious issue being lack of dig and lack of counters but it can be fun. I will not disappoint
Also no spaces in my name

Thanks. There's just too much good stuff for fluffybunnypants to cover and sometimes I find things incredibly funny that don't meet his standard. His scotch drinking must make him a classier fellow than myself.

It's a combo centered Around
Enduring Ideal To fetch out Form of the Dragon and Phyrexian Unlife from there you just get a bunch of enchants to lock the opponent

Dovescape too.
I tried everything. All-out combo shell, control shell, Lingering Souls, everything.
The deck freaking SUCKS.

Yes I tried it.

Hey, can I get people's thoughts on Vendilion Clique in modern. Namely for this deck:
I'm considering it for sidebaord but it feels a bit weird, as in it should be mainboard or bust. I'd be interested in people's thoughts.
March 10, 2015 9:27 p.m.
GlistenerAgent says... #31
I like it maindeck in a Geist build. You want pressure.

Vclique holds a sword quite well, So do Lingering Souls should you go that route.
March 10, 2015 9:31 p.m.
I definately like the fact that it has flash. I've EoT had them played against me and they really are good at pulling a counterspell. I'm not entirely sure what I would swap out for it, probably a Lightning Helix (two mainboard should be enough I think).
I'm not entirely sold on Lingering Souls. I like the idea in theory, but splashing for it seems a bit hard on my mana base. I mean, I could swap out the Moorland Haunt for a
source but that still only leaves me one in the deck.

Femme_Fatale says... #34
It is best to do it right after they draw a card, that way you have a chance of chucking whatever they just pulled. Though I guess that does leave it vulnerable to counterspells and it is best to do it when they have the least amount of mana available.

It isn't always the best to draw step it.
Deciding when to cast them is really tricky to figure out.

Intuition plays a big part. Observe your opponents plays
March 10, 2015 9:45 p.m.
Against control you plat it end of their turn to clear a way for your stuff. Basically make them tap out before your turn starts. That's what I've seen at least.
March 10, 2015 9:46 p.m.
bijschjdbcd says... #38
Not necessarily, You may be threat light and doing it main phase if you can win a counter war.
March 10, 2015 9:48 p.m.
Clique is weird. Against decks without counters, you usually just draw step it. Otherwise I do think it should be end step-ed on the end of the opponent's turn because it'll force a counter out and if it's good then you have an attacker. Trading it for a counter is fine imo since there's more important shit you'll need to get out later in the game.

So, I play online, which is nice because it often gives a wide variety of decks and people to play against.
Anyway, the game starts and one of my opponents is running an Intet dragon deck like myself and we had a good chuckle at that. The other two were running Bant. One of those Bant players was someone I had played before and he runs a Ban equipment deck. It can get crazy, but nothing that can't be handled.
This other guy... just... uhg. He sat there for a bunch of turns taking damage, durdled around with tutors and draw spells and ramp. And then out of know where he brings back all the artifacts he had discarded with Windfall, which included Darksteel Forge. And then he starts tutoring more things with Stonehewer Giant. Who at this point has protection from everything except creatures, double strike, and every sword. What does this guy do? Just freaking sits there attacking the Bant player's Etched Champion.
So this is going on for like 5 turns. I try and tutor up a Cyclonic Rift and he counters my tutor. And you can't kill this guy due to a Pariah's Shield on the giant. So, me and the other Intet player are just sitting there. Doing nothing because everything we try is countered. It was fucking frustrating as hell.

I mean, it's fine to play good decks and all and I usually prefer a challenge, but this was ridiculous. He just refused to let us play.

Well the fact that he had a winning boardstate and didn't do jack with it (or kill you guys quickly) falls into the "I'm a dick" category.
