To be frank, I don't think I've had a drink in a couple weeks. Can't roll jits when you're hungover.
Tagging Caligula for the truthiness of the jits statement.

Jits? I'm thinking the Dympsy Roll (or whatever it is called) from that boxing anime whose artwork is done by the same people who made Akagi and Kaiji.

I was being sarcastic fluffybunnypants. Sarcasm does not translate well into text.

If you are hung over when you roll. You WILL puke, it's not a question of if hahaha.
March 12, 2015 8:54 p.m.
Being hungover isn't great in a gym either. At some point you just get exhausted and your headache becomes dizziness and you almost pass out and lean on your friend on the way out. Well, you might not. But it's happened.

GoldGhost012 - yes, because people have over used it to the point that it's so obnoxious that no professional designer is going to touch it with a 10 foot pole.
Another example of this kind of thing (in my opinion) is the flash player. People wrote shit quality code and cranked out piles of broken, useless crap to the point that that experience became synonymous with the flash brand itself. Java applets are another example.

Terry Patchett died today. For those of you who do not know, Sir Terry Pratchett was a writer of the highest caliber, able to entertain both adults and children with his words and stories. Truly a genius, though the word genius is often over used I have no other word to describe him. No other author that I have read could utilize sarcasm, wit and an insight into the absurdities of life, with text to the extent that Terry Pratchett did. If a man is defined by what he has left behind then the British have clearly surpassed every nation on this Earth in terms of talent, creativity and the ability to somehow tolerate the existence of Manchester.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"Death thought about it.CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE. Terry Pratchett, Sourcery

Lot of brilliant minds passing lately. That's saddening.

CanadianShinobi: saw on the news earlier today. Its really sad, one of the most clever writers we have seen. And that fact that in his lifetime (66 years) he had written over 70 works. The man had a real drive to tell the world a story.

Honestly, Terry Pratchett is one of the reasons I've taken up writing again. I shelved a lot of my writing when I came to university due to a lack of time and just a feeling of inadequacy, but last year I read a book by Pratchett and it inspired me to pick up writing again. I've always loved stories and writing. I've been thinking of posting some of my notes and short stories in The Blind Eternities.

Actually, speaking of writing, I was thinking of putting together a series of articles on deckbuilding and playing edh. What's the best way of doing that? at the moment I'm just looking at using a decklist for each article.

Also, claimed in memory of Sir Terry Pratchett (and Straya).

I quit when I was 16. I had a 3 part series stuck in my mind inspired by James Patterson's "Maximum Ride"
It was an odd one filled with a collapsing society plagued by war using children as test subjects to gain the upper hand which i turn lead to a revolution and the third book being about the rebuilding of society. I think it was a little ahead of my maturity though so I never finished it. All I have left is a binder full of the first draft :3

ThisIsBullshit: I've read Epoch's one - this is less about just the overarching theory and covers more hands on concepts (numbers, card examples, balancing, etc). Also will talk about how/when to play certain things. Good ideas of things to run, bad ideas of things to run, etc.
March 13, 2015 12:17 a.m.
I've seen too many decks that run 30 lands, no ramp and and have an average cmc of like 7. I thought it was time to get proactive :P

March 13, 2015 12:24 a.m.
enpc good idea. My current deck had an average cmc of 4.2 and 37 lands and when I try to get help cutting the curve, I get suggestions about adding MORE 8, 9 and 10 drops.
spread the word!

-x-Juuzou-x-x-: the joys of being a "casual" format :P I'll try and get something written tonight if I have time (I need to fix my washing machine so we'll see how long that takes). But I'll try and get something ready for a first pass in the next day or so.

VampireArmy, I have some of the comics. I heard negative things about the books, but the comics seem perfectly fine.

ThisIsBullshit hopefully you are not casting those spells and rather are cheating them in.
Hell if you're casting them I'd like to see your land base and mana rocks.
