Okay, animes. You gotta watch Gintama. GINTAMA. Going by myanimelist.net, it is one of the top rated animes ever. It has comedy, drama, sad points, comedy, romance, comedy and references galore.
Beyond Gintama there are:
- Arakawa Under the Bridge
- Honey and Clover
- Ghost Hound
- Ghost Hunt
- Ghost in the Shell
- Akagi
- Kaiji
- Ergo Proxy
- Gungrave
- Air
- Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu
- Kamichama Karin
- Fushigi Yuuigi
... and that is all I can remember right now.

Gintama is the jack of all trades, and also the master of all trades.
March 14, 2015 3:37 a.m.
Counting the old thread, I haven't been subscribed in like... 400 pages. Doesn't look like anything has changed really...
To add to that list, Inferno Cop might be the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. And has anyone ever seen Dog & Scissors?

It is probably the ONE anime where the anime is 100% BETTER than the manga.
The soundtrack just completes everything so well, the facial expressions are just hilarious and if you are into anime, you'll love the references.
Basically, Gintama is what you get when you make a Japanese "The Simpsons".
If you wish to download Gintama, you HAVE to get RumbleSubs. They are the best ones as they know ALL the references. Or, well most of them. I found a few that they missed. But that's not the point!
Oh! I remembered another series! The Daily Lives of Highschool Boys!

And I've discovered that listening to the Love Live songs is pretty good when playing stuff, or TappingOut.

Of course, this is my favourite song from it, but you might like a different one.

I used google to translate that ([MAD] magnetic Ni Ji Garden (Lovelive!) In Japanese subtitles) and couldnt find the name of the anime... :(

It's about highschool girls who become idols to attract people to their school to prevent it from shutting down due to lack of students.
It's nothing insanely amazing like Cowboy Bebop or Steins;Gate, but it's very enjoyable and upbeat. If you like upbeat and happy things, watch it for sure. It's been compared to K-On, if you've heard of that.
My sources tell me that it's called Zurui yo Magnetic Today.

Femme_Fatale - the appeal of Facebook when organising tournaments is that you can do many things you can't do on tappedout. For reference to all those wondering why:
1) Facebook often syncs with phones so messages deliver faster.
2) Conversations are kept to one thread, and they're private. On tappedout I'd have to make a private deck and tag someone in it to get a conversation going. On Facebook I literally click on their name and then 'message'.
3) You can reply instantly, you don't have to go through the hassle of previewing your post etc.
4) It tells you when someone's online and when someone isn't. That's super useful because if I log on now I can instantly see, out of the 50 or so members, the guys that are free to play a game. That's the biggest thing. If I message 20 people on tappedout I don't know who will reply. If I see one guy on Facebook I know whether they're online or not. Saves a lot of time.
5) Facebook supports private conversations between 50 people. You CAN do it on tappedout but it's clunky. I can send the same message to everyone with just a few clicks.
6) You can attach word documents to pages so you don't have to link to external sign up sheets etc. It's all supported in the one group. It keeps things safe and simple.
7) It supports polls. This is important when you need to see what the best time for something is or whether people would prefer standard or modern.
8) it's easier to invite other people to Facebook than it is to tappedout. Billions of people have Facebook. Hundreds of thousands have tappedout. I reach a wider audience - leagues have more people.
9) I can pin important posts to the top so they don't sink down and get lost. That's really irritating on tappedout because if I post a link to something, in a few hours time it'll be lost.
I did think long and hard about this before I did it. Tappedout just isn't as geared for social functions than Facebook. Not being able to see who's online and not being able to instantly have private conversations is a big deal. I chose Facebook, not to irritate anyone but literally because it would save us all time and effort.
That said if you want to play in the league send your cockatrice / x mage / untap.in details to me and ill add you to the list. I'll just write that you're not on Facebook and can only be contacted on here. Although I'd have to separately link you to the rules and the results list. No big deal.
I would give the same advice to you as I did to GlistenerAgent. Just make a fake Facebook. Sign up with your normal email but make up a stupid name and give it a picture of a magic card or whatever. You gain access to Facebook functionality but you retain your privacy because you're not sharing any personal data with the site.
March 14, 2015 7:32 a.m.
There was no malice in the decision to use Facebook. I didn't want to exclude anyone. I perhaps naively thought everyone would use it. My only concern was about ease of contact.
March 14, 2015 7:34 a.m.
Femme_Fatale says... #17
I refuse to use it because I find it aggravatingly annoying. I just don't like it, and it is a negativity pit and an attention horde for people's lives.
Is this like an actual elimination tournament or is it just a league? Because if it is just a league then all you really have to do is make a challengeboard and put everything on there. Simple, easy, you can host all the rules on there, the discussion board is on there and you can record decks on there as well.

Femme_Fatale it's just a league. Facebook can be all those things, but I find it useful to keep in contact with my family, some of whom are on the other side of the world.
Oh, and I made the Top 100 awwww yeah!
March 14, 2015 8:14 a.m.
Congrats! I'm in the same boat CanadianShinobi Its annoying to whore yourself out on FB,.. but almost more annoying to avoid it entirely when its such a good way to keep in touch with people you may not see more than once in 5 years.
March 14, 2015 8:21 a.m.
I like challengeboard a lot but it doesn't come with the inbuilt social features unfortunately. A discussion board is a discussion board. It's not instant messenger. It doesn't have polls. It solves some of the problems but not all, and therefore it wasn't my first choice.
I don't care WHY you don't use facebook Femme_Fatale because it doesn't bother me that you don't. I've offered you a compromise because I don't want you to feel left out. You can either create a fake facebook OR if you don't feel comfortable with that give me your xmage / untap / cockatrice details and I'll put you down on the list.
I'm not going to bully you into using facebook, but that being said I prefer to organise leagues I run with it. Im beyond happy to try to make this work for you though.

I don't suppose anyone is free right now to teach me untap. Living in Europe is hard because no one is ever online when I am.

Do you guys think Misty will get any lower even of it gets reprinted?
March 14, 2015 9:50 a.m.
Misty rainforest won't be reprinted in return to zendikar? Huh?
March 14, 2015 9:57 a.m.
bijschjdbcd says... #33
I feel as though I can cope with paying $35 at the moment.
I have one already and was always going to buy the Zendi arts for OCDs sake and looking at Onslaught fetches they are around 30-40.
I know Onslaught lands weremore expensive to start with but I feel as though they will hang around a similar price.

Ah, I thought he was referring to Stoneforge Mystic, who people in my community frequently refer to as Misty.

There's also a good argument for them not reprinted enemy fetches in Battle. One being that all the fetches are now Modern legal. Also, both sets of fetches being Standard playable at the same time seems completely ridiculous, especially with Delve being a thing in KtK.

Wizards has shown retardation on multiple occasions, The argument of "it doesn't make sense for them to do this" has lost its effectiveness.
March 14, 2015 10:09 a.m.
It wouldn't be that bad. Fetches are decent fixing but not amazing and it'll be easy to nerf delve in a set if they have to. Lots of graveyard exile and delve won't be a thing. It's fixable.
March 14, 2015 10:28 a.m.
So one of the vendors at this event was selling a nm stoneforge mystic for 20 dollars, figured that was worth pickin up
