I was wondering if anyone has seen the movie and if they have, was it worth it to see in the theatre or should I wait to see it on DVD. I have already read the books, so I'm not really watching for the conclusion.
I'm not a fan of the franchise. I usually get dragged to at least watch them, but I feel very let down every time I do so, even though I go in with no expectations. I suppose my reaction has something to do with the popularity of the series. Hmmm...

I watched it and it's definitely worth it to go see in theaters. However, I'm actually of the opinion it's not worth it to buy the DVD/Bluray. I also read the books, and once you know the story, there's not much new they can do. Not to mention, it'll probably be on Netflix like The Hunger Games and Catching Fire before it.

Because they split the book up into 2 films, this one seemed really slow, and there was just a ton of dialogue and not much else. This movie was just there to set up the next one really, instead of just having one really good one. It will probably be 2 just decent ones.
Im not saying the moving wasnt good, but I would recommend just waiting till its on netflix or DVD. You really arent missing that much plot wise.

Lots of powerful scenes, I'd say watch it once and be happy with it
