This year marks the thirtieth anniversaries of Master of Puppets and Reign in Blood, the respective third albums by Metallica and Slayer, which musicians and historians often regard as being very influential in the world of heavy metal.
As a fan of heavy metal music, I own both of these albums, and I recall that, the first time that I listened to each of them, I was amazed by not only the energy and intensity of the music, but also its technical complexity. I listen to them often, and still am very impressed by the quality of their composition.
Today, both of these albums are now regarded as masterpieces of the genre, and are often held up as standards for all other musicians to aspire to; as a fan of heavy metal music, I definitely agree that they deserve their reputation and legacy, and I hope that the artists do something to commemorate the anniversaries of these albums.
What does everyone else say about this? How do you feel about these albums celebrating their thirtieth anniversaries, and are you hopeful for the artists commemorating those milestones, as well?

EndStepTop: the recently remastered Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning, but I am really hoping for a remaster of And Justice for All, with the bass guitar actually audible, since that album has poor sound quality and no audible bass guitar, which is very unfortunate, since it contains some of their most intense and technically-complex material.

DemonDragonJ I agree with AJFA a lot, both as a fan of the band, and as a bass player.

EndStepTop, you may take some solace in the fact that Guitar Hero: Metallica contains the master tracks for all songs that are playable within it, including five songs from AJfA (to be specific: Blackened, And Justice for All, One, the Shortest Straw, and Dyers Eve), which some people have extracted from the game and combined with the songs from the album to make their own mixes of how the songs may sound if the bass guitar was actually audible.

DemonDragonJ I have. There's also the "And Justice for Jason" recording on youtube, where someone recorded the Bass tracks and mixed them waaaay into the mix with GH tracks

I have read that Metallica actually wanted Geddy Lee of Rush to be the producer of Master of Puppets, but Lee was unavailable due his schedule; that is very unfortunate, as I am certain that such an album would have been very interesting, indeed. Metallica definitely should have asked Lee to be the producer for And Justice for All, since the sound quality on that album is very poor, which is very unfortunate, as it contains some of their most technically-advanced material.
EndStepTop: where did they get the bass tracks for the songs that were not in GH: Metallica? Did they record the bass themselves?

Aren't Metallica remaster/remixing their Cliff era albums for this? Also lets get MoP/RiB played in full live.
