My friends car got broken into last night and stole like 400 dollars in cards that he was gonna sell to get a new deck :(
Well in his defense we are moving out of college and he just got a head start and it was in his trunk so its not like you could see thd cards

9 times out of 10...it's someone you know that did the stealing. Especially if it was locked in the trunk.

I have to agree. Your average Joe doesn't know what Magic cards are worth, so it was probably somebody who knew them and/or played magic with them.

At first I though someone's friend died, and I was about to be really depressed, and then I read this.
BURN THE MAN AT THE STAKE!
... The guy who stole the stuff, of course, not EmblemMan.

Where they in a backpack or something similar? Usually, thieves will grab whatever is handy, and they think backpacks and messenger bags usually contain a laptop.

I'd like to point out that "rip in peace" is redundant as "Rip" means "rest in peace". But yes, most people don't know what MTG cards are worth, so it really would have had to been someone who knew he played, and had access to his keys.

I will point out that RIP in peace is an online saying whenever someone dies in a vidya game.
Also, plot twist, he stole his own cards in effort to get pity money or cards out of the community. It happens much more frequently then you would expect.

Rest in pieces to your friend's cards!
You can steal a man's car. You can even speak a man's wife. But one does not simply steal a man's Magic cards!

So are we just gonna ignore the plot twist about him stealing his own cards in order to get money/cards from the community... to me, that is lower than stealing cards in the first place... that's pretty much extortion....

I'm still bothered that when I saw this thread I thought one of your friends had died.

Damn. People who steal magic cards are truly the lowest of scum.
