Last weekend I added on to my mtg "sleeve of power", and thought I'd share for the tattoo enthusiasts on TappedOut :)

Next year will probably be Timetwister!

Artist was Joey Hamilton from Revolt Tattoos, Las Vegas

Black Lotus. I don't recognize the skeleton King. Nekusar maybe?

I hate to ruin your preacious arm skull king guy's crown, but Mox Sapphire is next to Mox Emerald. OUT OF ORDER.

The skull/crown is a way of displaying the moxen, and is original artwork from Joey. The lotus is a close facsimile of Chris Rahn's vintage masters lotus, and probably the only pure mtg artwork I'll get. Timetwister, Time Walk, and Ancestral Recall are all going to feature parts of the art, but will be more like the moxen piece in that I'll design something to work together.

As for the out-of-order aspect, I re-ordered them based on the most interesting/iconic designs being front and center, and the less interesting ones in the back :)

I'm not a tattoo guy (I don't like permanence) but as far as they go this one looks amazing. It would be cool to put that design on the sleeve of a jacket or something :)

Looks sweet. Bet it cost a lot, haha. How long did it take?

Haha, yeah. I'm a believer in you get what you pay for, though. The lotus was ~7 hours, the moxen skull was 8.5.

Did it hurt much? I don't have any tats right now but I'm thinking of something along my arms and then extend it to the back and chest.

The upper arm/shoulder doesn't hurt much at all (but after so many hours your skin, no matter where it is, gets pretty tender). The elbow hurt big time. Get a meaty part done first and see how you can handle the pain before doing a bony part of your body. And if you're serious about getting a lot of ink, my best advice is to be picky as hell when it comes to the artist/shop. For every good artist there are fifty bad ones haha
