Ten Years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

In the year 2008, ten years ago, Marvel Entertainment released Iron Man, a film adapted from one of their (at the time) lesser-known properties. The film was a surprising but massive success, which prompted the production and release of a second film later that year, The Incredible Hulk, and the rest, to use a common phrase, is history; those films led to the development of a massive shared universe that now contains over twenty films and numerous television series, is now a well-known aspect of popular culture, and will likely not be ending at any time soon; while it once was rare for anyone other than a serious nerd to know the names of any Marvel charterers outside of Spiderman and the X-Men, now many people know of many Marvel characters and frequently reference them in unassociated mainstream media.
While the Spiderman and X-Men films had already helped to revive the superhero film genre in the early 2000's, they were fairly insulated and did not expand outside of their films very much, but the MCU was the first superhero franchise to have unrelated movies be set in the same universe and reference each other (although not the first shared universe in film ever, since Universal had done that with their monster films as early as the 1930's and 40's).
I myself find it to be amazing that it has now been an entire decade since the Marvel Cinematic Universe began, as I can still recall seeing the first Iron Man film in theaters, finding it to be amazing, and then being even more amazed at the post-credits scene, which was truly the part that indicated that this was not merely another superhero film, that there was much more that had yet to be revealed. Ten years later, the universe has expanded greatly, provided audiences with an amazing array of stories, characters, and adventures, and will likely continue for many more years to come.
What does everyone else have to say about this? What are your thoughts and feelings about the tenth anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? I look forward to your responses!
It's been an amazing journey so far. I just hope people don't get tired of the film's and they stop making money. I could watch mcu film's for the next 20 years. Hoping to see wolverine and Cyclops along side iron man and Dr strange soon.

Truly a groundbreaking experience. Marvel is forging the path of Cinematic Universes and they're setting a high, high bar.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the average quality of the movies. Somehow they've maintained this streak of making decent-to-great movies. Sure there have been some stinkers, looking at you Iron Man 2 & 3, but there's been some truly fantastic films too, Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the new Black Panther. I've been enjoying the heck out them.
Can't wait for Infinity Wars this May. After being somewhat disappointed with Avengers 2 and Civil War, I'm hoping they can pull off this massive convergence and really hit a home run.

I generally don't like Marvel (Or DC. Don't worry) but I can see how that feet is impressive.

I think it's amazing how far the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come. Its movies and television shows hold a consistent popularity that is almost unmatched (I can only think of Star Wars to challenge it). After the release of Black Panther, I heard so many people, specifically non-comic book readers, comment on how many great reviews it was getting and that they wanted to see the film. I really enjoyed seeing Black Panther, and I think it epitomizes the franchise in creating new material that draws a lot of attention.
