Which comes first, chicken or egg?

I was at FNM last night, and someone came up to me asking how this worked.
So the kid had Leyline of the Void and Grave Betrayal out on his side of the field. I realize this is a nombo, the kid is kind of bad at magic. But I could come up with an answer for which goes off first. So which of these 2 spells would take precedence?
Thanks for looking
I know man, I know a creature has to die first. The question is what happens after.

"Dies" = "Is put into the graveyard from the battlefield"
This means that Leyline of the Void would exile whatever creature died before Grave Betrayal would get it back.
Also, MTG Q&A forum.

I believe since they are both his triggers he can choose how they go on the stack. I am not a magic lawyer however so don't quote me on it lol.

It would be exiled, and would not return to the battlefield at the beginning of the next end step.
Also rules questions should be asked in the Q&A.

Leyline of the Void is a replacement effect. It doesn't use the stack. And Grave Betrayal also says "at the beginning of the next end step," so even if that ability resolves first, all it does is create a delay trigger, not immediately return the dead creature.

as an answer to the name of the thread, the egg comes first

@TheRedDude, no the chicken comes first. Eggs was notorious for being such a slow deck that it interfered with tournament logistics and eventually got Second Sunrise banned just because of it's glacial pace.

wow, that was entirely dependent on there being two users called Chicken and eggs that i did not know of.

With the info TheRedDude posted the Chicken (joined 3 years ago) came before the eggs (joined 1 year ago).

Egg comes 1st. Y? Because for example dinosaurs layed eggs long before chickens existed.

Ah, but which came first, fried chicken or fried eggs?

TheAnnihilator If there were dragons around the same time dinosaurs lived then the answer is fried eggs. If dragons however didnt exist at that time (or any other time) i believe they were around the same times.

TheRedDude Why? Because you believe dragons did exist back then?

because, a dinosaur would have lain an egg, a forest fire occurs, egg cracks and fries

The chicken egg came before the chicken, as the first chicken egg was not layed by a chicken.

I think dying happens before it hits the graveyard.....
