Who plays Battleborn? Looking for info before I start.

So I just checked out the Battleborn website and I have to say... I am pretty sure I am willing to give over my life for this game. It looks closer to BC Raiding in World of Warcraft than raiding in World of Warcraft has been in ages. Also the Helix system reminds me of how I would ding ever few hours and get a new ability or Glyph option. And the FPS and level design is very nice and encourages maximizing of uptime which is yet another aspect similar to raiding that I enjoy.
All in all the entire game seems to be perfect for me. Before I get into it though I've got six questions..
Has the company made any drastic changes to the core of the game since launch?
Examples would be:
Removing talent trees in WoW.
Rift forcing you into 51 point specs at the first level cap update.
MTG supporting hard control for nearly two decades then dropping it.
Removing steps from Pokemon Go.
Having 1 drop mana dorks for decades then stopping completely.
If not are there any signs of this?
How are the servers? I am pretty much giving up on Planet Side 2 because of lag (not to mention the max server capacity).
Is the game largely client based like Elder Scrolls Online and if so is there a lot of hackers like in ESO pvp?
How is connectivity? Is it as bad as Warframe? (Great game...if they could fix their connectivity issues.)
Are there any avatars that are so OP that it's pointless to play anything else?
Non-Battleborn like examples:
Trying to do Ranked battles in Pokemon ORAS without Legendaries.
Trying to play 2 color competitively with only basics in standard.
Is Galilea as fun to play as she looks awesome? She looks like an Undead Warrior from World of Warcraft... so much nostalgia. That time when I was 15 and didn't have to worry about anything ...remembers fondly.
Lastly I don't mind some grind but... does the game ever make you want to bang your head against your desk as much as trying to breed 6 perfect IV pokemon across multiple Egg Groups?
(Please do not suggest Overwatch or Hero's of the Storm. I do not want to play either. I don't trust Blizzard... at all.)
DERPLINGSUPREME says... #2

hands you a paper and a sewing needle
