Will Pantera Ever Re-Release their First Four Albums?

Pantera's first four albums have been long out of print, because they were made during the 1980's, when Pantera was a glam metal band, and the band would rather forget about that part of their history, instead preferring to focus on their albums released during the 1990's, when they played a more aggressive and brutal style of music.
I have no problem with Pantera changing their musical style, but I am very disappointed that they are acting as if their first four albums never happened, because I have heard some songs from those albums, and they are great songs, very reminiscent of Kiss or Motley Crue (with some influence from Judas Priest on their fourth album, the first with Phil Anselmo), which is certainly not a bad thing. Although I do agree that changing their musical style helped to ensure their survival, and the survival of heavy metal as an entire genre, I believe that their first four albums should not be forgotten and would sell very well if they were reissued.
Pantera's first four albums actually can be found on Ebay, but those are likely bootlegs and not official releases; as a side note, I should probably buy them, as those will likely be the only way that I shall be able to hear those albums for the foreseeable future.
What does everyone else say about this? Will Pantera ever re-release their first four albums?

Ask yourself the question: If you want people to forget about your past, would you bring it up again?
I don't know much about the band or there history, but if they want to distance themselves from the glamrock they played, they'll sure as hell not release there old albums.

Why would bands ever re-release old albums when a) as already stated, they want to distance themselves from that old style of music and b) they're probably still available on KAT/TPB or the like?

canterlotguardian, I could download the albums in torrent form, but I wish to own them, legally, since I already download enough music and movies that way.
EpicFreddi, St. Anger by Metallica and Risk by Megadeth are still in print, despite both the bands and their fans considering them to be the worst albums in their respective careers (and, as a coincidence, both are the eighth albums of their respective discographies), and, unlike Pantera's first four albums, those albums definitely are better left forgotten, in my mind.

Accepting that you made a shitty album and wanting to forget about it are two different things. Plus, comparing different bands doesn't work here because we talk only about Pantera, but the other do doesn't matter. I think they won't release them ever again.

Interesting article to see here on Tapped out! I agree with you, they abandoned their older stuff which was pretty good, but different. You can hear the transition happen in Cowboys From Hell.
Coincidentally, I have a sort-of, kind-of, Pantera themed deck:
As(ura) of War, use it what it's for!
