An Idea for a Challenge

Challenges and Articles forum

I have never hosted a challenge, I simply don't have the time to play all the matches nor do I have anyone around to help me.

This hasn't stopped me with thinking of fun deckbuilding challenges though, my most recent came about after Arcanis the Omnipotent got spoiled as a reprint.

I thought it might be fun to have a challenge to represent the pit fighters from the good ole days of Onslaught and such.

5 decks total, EDH Format. The Generals must be Jareth, Leonine Titan , Arcanis the Omnipotent , Visara the Dreadful , Rorix Bladewing and Silvos, Rogue Elemental .

They would be played in a free for all format just like in the pits and we could finally see who the greatest pit fighter is! Or something like that.

Am I crazy? would this be fun? Does anyone want to host something like this?

Is arcanis going to be in standard?

No, he is just in the new Duel Deck: Speed vs. Cunning. He is the poster boy for the cunning deck.

Don't know yet, it will be in the speed vs cunning duel deck coming soon though, along with the first spoiled card from Khans of Tarkir. So I reckon Arcanus could be standard

I suppose it may be possible with the whole time travel element, but it would be the first time a legend got a straight up reprint instead of a new card in a non-core set.

Usually when there is a gap in time as large as this the new card would represent how the legend has grown or changed over the years.

If he's gonna be back in standard I think it would have to be in another core set

Time spiral had some strait-up reprints.

You might even have betting where each person can bet on a deck, and post a deck, and if the deck they bet on wins, they get a +1

Hahaha I hadn't thought of that. I do believe we may be on to something here!
