Seeing as it looks like the decks have stopped coming in, it's time to start! Below is the list of decks and their owners. I am also going to tag everyone who said they would help playtest. Seeding has been done by how good they did in the previous tourny. So decks that were in the previous tourny (even if they lost in round one) will be ranked higher then newcomers. Decks that were in the previous tourny and did well will be ranked highest of all, while new comers are randomly seeded, but all below the users/decks that competed in the first tourny.* Jp3ngu1nb0y's Post-Roast Esperanimator

Playtesters include: buffy, CW, blackmarker90, TrustyServantPatsy, infinitemana, sadiuh, Krayhaft, Denial048, BiggRedd54, bantam1234, flyguy.
We have eleven playtesters, thirty decks. Playtesters! Each player will playtest one round in round one, except me and CW will playtest one more each. This will finish round one. Play best two out of three, and here is the bracket. I believe that the playtesters can report the scores ON the bracket, but if not, just tell me on my profile who won. Thanks to everyone who entered and is playtesting, hopefully this will be a fun tourny! You may start playtesting whenever you wish, and you may NOT playtest your own deck if you have one in the tourny, unless it is impossible to avoid.
Happy playing!
Holy Crap! Two awesome and dramatic games (and one terrible one) ended up with CW's wanna fight about it? winning 2-1 over KrazyCaley's Euthyphro.
Game 1: the boring one. Fight mulled to 5 from low land hands but got mana screwed anyways. euthy won really easily with Daxos of Meletis .
Game 2: Euthy got out to an early lead with Detention Sphere on some reckoners and a hard cast Wasteland Viper (who demolished early game). However, fight dropped two Colossus of Akros and three reckoners, but the game was at a standstill because of Fleecemane Lion , and the fact that euthy Detention Sphere d all 3 reckoners. Euthy was then just drawing lands. Very next turn, fight topdecks a golgari charm and destroys the d-sphere, bringing back all 3 reckoners. Next turn, a Pit Fight from the monstrous colossus to the reckoner brought euthy down to 1 life, and both reckoners swinging made an unavoidable win.
Game 3: Again, euthy got to another great early lead with its tempo elements, but fight was able to dig for colossus with Jarad's Orders and dropped one literally the TURN BEFORE euthy could swing for the win. Another one soon after leveled out the battleground, but then both players started to topdeck lands. Euthy had a monstrous Fleecemane Lion that was preventing the win for fight, but just couldn't play its Divine Verdict to get rid of the colossus (indestructible). Finally able to resolve something, fight dropped a Domri Rade and started building it up (but only revealing lands). When euthy drew Opportunity , it looked like it was game in favor of euthy's many creatures, but Domri's ultimate allowed for 2 20/20 double strike trample colossus guys to come in for the win.
I loved both decks and will +1 them because they are just so awesome and perfectly built.

Does indestructible stop trample?
I'm surprised I won since I wasn't very confident in the deck but it feels nice.
October 24, 2013 6:10 p.m.
Euthyphro had enough creatures out (and tons of life from daxos) that even though indestructible didn't stop trample, you couldn't win on just one or maybe even two swings, and you were at extremely low life both times, so you needed the blockers.

The first rule of Domri's fight club is "You do not talk about Domri's fight club."
The second rule of Domri's fight club is "YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT DOMRI'S FIGHT CLUB."

I can do another one... Euthyphro vs. Wanna Fight About It?

Game 1: Euthyphro
Nothing Special here. CW had to mulligan to 3 on the play. First Hand 1 land, second hand 4 land, Rescue from the Underworld , Golgari Charm . 3+4 hand No land. 5th hand Blood Crypt Jarad's Orders and Pit Fight . KrazyCaley beat down with Fleecemane Lion and that world eater thing...
Game 2: Euthyphro
Well CW at least got to keep his hand. Domri, Caratid, Reckoner, Pit Fight,Temple, 2x overgorwn tombs. However CW never managed to draw a 3rd red source. After a couple turns of KrazyCaleys Unblockable lions and Prophet with 2 Dissolve and a Divine Reckoning CW's deck finally gave him a second Sylvan Caryatid . He was at 5 life. And it was game next turn.
Euthyphro 2-0

Well, I didn't originally volunteer to playtest, but seeing as this thread has been stagnant for 2 days (Bigg's game notwithstanding), I'll help get things going again with Akroan Horse Doesn't Suck vs. Double Double Double Double... Counters!.
October 26, 2013 11:40 p.m.
T1: D4C wins the roll but grabs a no-lander. Mulls to 6 and opens with an Overgrown Tomb . Horse has a decent opener featuring 2 plains, a mountain, a 1 and 2 drop and assemble and elspeth. Starts off with Soldier of the Pantheon
T2: D4C drops a scryland and spies a breeding pool. Having nothing over 3 in hand, it goes to the bottom. Cast Experiment One . Horse opts to play a Firefist Striker and swing 2.
T3: D4C shocks a tomb and drops Renegade Krasis on the field, then holds off to make bigger, better plans with Vorel. Horse doesn't like the Krasis's ability and nails it with Lightning Strike before it gets any bigger, then swings out.
T4: D4C looks to neutralize the onslaught by dropping Vorel of the Hull Clade , putting E1 out of reach of Horse's creatures. Horse topdecks a Spear of Heliod . Wow. Swings 6. blocked 3.
T5: Both are still at 3 lands. D4C topdecks a mana dork, but decides it's time to get rid of that annoying soldier and Hero's Downfall s the SotP, then swings 3 with E1. Horse rips a battledriver off the top, but can't play anything in his hand. Horse hangs on to the 3 to use for the spear.
T6: D4C tops a G/U scryland and spies another Downfall, then drops a Slitherhead and Elvish Mystic . Horse finally tops a 4th land, and tosses out a Tajic, Blade of the Legion .
T7: D4C grabs the downfall and holds off. Horse finds a 5th land and plays Assemble the Legion . At the end of turn, D4C kills the firefist and activates Vorel.
T8: Assemble is going to be a problem. D4C dumps everything into a Mistcutter Hydra and swings out. Horse takes 3. Horse plays a boros scryland and an Ogre Battledriver . This is looking like it's going to get crazy.
T9: Empty hand for D4C and topdecks a land. Activate Vorel to make E1 a 9/9 and Misty a 10/10, but horse has blocks. 2 tokens for Horse, followed by an elspeth who drops 3 more. I'm not feeling any math right now, so horse swings all except the battledriver and 2 tokens. Slitherhead and Mystic bite the dust and D4C goes to 5.
T10: D4C topdecks another land. Game 1 goes to Akroan Horse Doesn't Suck
October 27, 2013 12:10 a.m.
D4C opts to play.
T1: Both decks draw great hands, Horse with 3 lands, Bolt, Charm, Firefist, and Tajic. D4C with 3 lands, Sylvan Cary, Vorel, Master Bio, and Kalonian. Land and pass for both decks.
T2: D4C Sylvan Caryatid . Horse tops and plays a Soldier of the Pantheon .
T3: D4C drops a tapped watery grave and a vorel. Horse plays a firefist striker and hits for 2.
T4: D4C plays a Master Biomancer and hits for 1. Horse plays a 4th land and swings both creatures. D4C doesn't like the look of the attack and lets it slide, taking 4. Horse plays a Tajic.
T5: D4C finds a 5th land, but it's tapped. Plays a Corpsejack Menace who promptly becomes an 8/8. Horse still sitting on 4 lands and knows it's in danger, but has a good bit of burn up its sleeve. Horse passes.
T6: D4C is feeling pretty good, especially when a hero's downfall comes off the top. Right now, Soldier of the Pantheon is a problem becuase it can stop Corpsejack dead, but so can Tajic. Trample damage isn't as easy to stop, so D4C tosses out a 12/12 Kalonian Hydra .(assuming I did the math and triggers right..) End of turn, Horse hits D4C with a double Boros Charm , dropping him down to 6. Horse topdecks a Tajic, no help.
October 27, 2013 12:33 a.m.
Horse plays first.
T1: Horse has a delightful hand with 4 lands and 2 battledrivers. D4C has a hydraful hand, but not enough lands to keep. Horse opens with a Foundry. D4C plays a scryland and sees a breeding pool. Good.
T2: Horse plays a plains and a firefist. D4C shocks the pool to play a caryatid.
T3: Horse plays a foundry and passes. D4C drops a scryland and passes.
T4: Battledriver hits the field. D4C Downfalls it. D4C plays a watery grave and a corpsejack.
T5: Horse drops a scryland and scrys an assemble the legion. Sweet. Plays the second battledriver and passes. D4C plays a land and an 8/8 Kalonian Hydra gross.
T6: Horse plays assemble. D4C plays a 5/5 Mistcutter that becomes a 10/10. Then Kalonian swings in for 24 and mistcutter becomes a 20/20. Wow.
Game 3: Double Double Double Double... Counters! Match 2 -1 to D4C
I like the idea behind both decks, but I feel like D4C was able to ramp it out faster and once the doubling began, things got CRAZY.

Yeah, I knew I would have a hard matchup and struggle to win...
And for all three games there was not a single Akroan Horse to be found.
Thanks for the playtest Aerokid!
October 27, 2013 1 a.m.
I actually did have one in hand game 1, but I figured Tajic followed by Assemble would be better in the long run. Other than that, Horse was absent.
October 27, 2013 1:03 a.m.
Thanks Aerokid. Originally I didn't think Akroan Horse was that good, but you definitely proved me wrong, GoldGhost012. I'm gonna have to get some and pretty much use your deck for my boros deck.

Hey guys, I'm back, haha. Sorry, been gone. Time to get a match in!
Rock Lobster Party (1st @ Gameday THS) (8-3) vs. A Most Raw Beauty (0-0)
Game 1A virtual mirror match, two high powered golgari decks are set to face off. The difference in game one was simple: Party got a Desecration Demon on the field, while the only Desecration Demon golgari saw got immediately Putrefy'd. The demon was able to swing golgari down to zero while a Whip of Erebos restocked Party's life total.
Game 2Party was able to get golgari down early with a combination of kill spells and a Lifebane Zombie that went unkilled until golgari was in the red zone of 8 life. Golgari then had to pay down to 3 life with its Underworld Connections to try to find answers for the 2x Desecration Demon that hit the field, and found those answers. The game dragged on with both decks only finding lands, until a Gaze of Granite destroyed the Underworld Connections and a Whip of Erebos hit the field reanimating the dead Desecration Demon for the 2-0 win for Party.
Putrefy: I've played your deck a lot and it still runs just as well!
Krayhaft: your decks were basically mirrors, so it mainly came down to the luck of the draw, which he got =/.

I garantee my Devotion of the Fanatic's could smash most of those decks. It's the fastest winning Red Deck ive ever played. It can win turn 4 before combat. That was impossible with the past 4 years of RDW. Not needing to swing to win in midrange territory is huge.

Your talking as if you came up with the new "RDW." You should've entered when you could have, no reason to talk smack now.

Anyway I'll go for A Dance With Deathrite vs Did Someone Say Enchantments? now.
October 28, 2013 5:50 p.m.
First round goes to A Dance With Deathrite
This game was a lifegain fest, first off deathrite had the advantage with an early Deathrite Shaman and a Lifebane Zombie then a Thoughtsieze and a Whip of Erebos then enchantments came in with a fast built Fabled Hero with a Chosen by Heliod and a Gift of Orzhova swinging without blocks, shit was cash, the game ended with ghost dad being tossed out and Fabled Hero having an Abrupt Decay .
Second round also went to deathrite.
Did Someone Say Enchantments? couldnt get much since it kept drawing land after land, even when the fabled hero was sent down it got hit with an Abrupt Decay and 2 Desecration Demon s ended the game.
@BiggRedd54, Very nice, I never really got into Deathrite Shaman but this deck really made me regret trading the 3 I pulled.
@Aerokid I don't know what to say I like your deck but the land just kept coming during the second game, it was a pretty good hand with Fabled Hero , Hopeful Eidolon , Gift of Orzhova , Chosen by Heliod , 2 plains, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

Round one goes to Waves of Devotion.
at the beginning of the game grixis tossed out a scary Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver , which was Detention Sphere d, then it was devotions turn to be controlled (slightly) after trying to drop and early Thassa, God of the Sea which was Dissolve ed, grixis then threw out a Duskmantle Guildmage , and then a Rakdos, Lord of Riots , and then a Ral Zarek which was also put into detention, devotion tossed out an Elspeth, Sun's Champion and Supreme Verdict ed the field, the rest of the game was won with the massive load of little 1/1s rushing at grixis.
Round 2 was won by Milling Grixis
first off Jace, Memory Adept went in after some Omenspeaker s were tossed out by devotion and milled 10, he was then sphered, then with a surprising Dreadbore to the elspeth devotion was left with a non-creature Thassa, God of the Sea while a little Duskmantle Guildmage used its first effect to deal a whoping 8 damage with the dimir half of Breaking / Entering , by the end the field was clear except for 2 thassas (one was a Lazav, Dimir Mastermind in disguise), and a Ral Zarek that dealt the lethal 3 damage.
Round 3 was going good for milling with dropping a jace right after the first jace was killed 20 cards just poof out of there, then going for a breaking, but devotion had 3 Mutavault s down that just kept hitting the dome, the fact that he was taking his own life out with Read the Bones didnt help his case, and the round ended with 13 cards left in devotions deck.
Very nice decks, honestly I think someone should do another playtest to see how the next outcome would be, these decks are matched up very well.
