Caley recently posted an awesome article on new standard contenders. I've made it hidden to users but its here article:blank.

Taking me cues from the incredibly successful Daily Draft series, if its alright with you, Caley, I'm going to release this one as a daily series as well.

I've been having serious troubles with this, like lost to everyone at casual night serious problems. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong, or if it's just coming down to stupid luck, or if I really do need to invest in that last little bit to really make this deck shine.;

Big Bad Bashers

Thank you so much, I hate to sound like a sore loser but this really got me bummed out and I'd appreciate just a little help to steer me back on track.

I really don't get why you're using Fanatic of Mogis if you're not taking advantage of his devotion ability.

I totally just remembered that I had forgotten to take him out after my last bit of fixing.

Thanks already.

Any other suggestions that aren't mythics? My budgets a wee bit tight at the moment.

out of all of doc's suggestions, Id say scavenging ooze is the gem there. I know theyre like 15 a pop right now, but youll have a pretty good advantage with a few of them. And since they were just reprinted, Theyre cheaper now than theyll be any time soon (except for when rotation bears its ugly face again). Scavenging ooze is a staple in every format aswell, so it will hold its value. Id say scavenging oozes would be a good investment

i remember when i used to lose every match in magic... then i learned having 20 7+ drops was a bad thing lol.

Its all about synergy, consistency, and knowing how to play. If you're complaining about not winning, you're new, and have a shitty deck/half of a decent deck... that pretty much answers your question.

@notamardybumWould you like to add some constructive criticism or tell me things that I already know?

also getting that playset of stomping ground in there would help a lot.

Yeah, notamardybum, that was pretty uncalled for.

Your deck is basically trying to be overwhelm your opponents w/ Elf-ball ramp but w/ no way of making them bigger to avoid Electrickery . I suggest a more focused build. Stick w/ big creatures, less mana dorks, replace them w/ noncreature-based ramp spells ala Cultivate , and some more burn spells. (9 burn spells aren't enough) OR if you still want to stick to creature-based, use Axebane Guardian and build an army of defenders.
