Spawnsire challenge

With the addition of Parallel Lives , Spawnsire of Ulamog becomes more powerful than it already was.

Training Grounds used to provide plenty of support for spawnsire's abilities and with two out you had infinite mana.

My challenge to you is to make a deck based on Spawnsire of Ulamog , Parallel Lives , and Training Grounds .

They must be extended legal! Let's see what you can do!

Tis true... but you get style points for helix pinnacle and thus I accept the entry.

And I can accept modern, but for everyone else try to stick to extended as much as possible. There were only two cards in the deck that weren't extended.

Alright I went ahead and played squire1 's deck against IPyro92's deck and it was VERY close.

However after losing the first game IPyro92 came back to win twice. Each game was decided by pulling out a spawnsire combo, despite pulling out the avenger of zendikar at one point and both pulled their primeval titans.

Some notable mentions in the match included:

Several awakening zones on the field with parallel lives out there. This was an awesome combo. One combo that I didn't see until I had it on the field was Essence Warden with Spawnsire of Ulamog and Parallel Lives . Infinite life. Very nice.

since there are 4 decks I will run matches between each deck until all decks have played each other.

So far I've been impressed no game has gone past turn 9.

Second matchup:

rckclimber777's deck vs. platinum_demon's deck

These were a bit faster paced no game went past turn 7. This also can be attributed to many of the combo pieces in hand from the start.

First game came down to a well-timed mana leak on the behalf of platinum_demon to counter my spawnsire of Ulamog. he then topdecked spawnsire, played it and had enough to cast his final ability. (This was aided by the primeval titan he had played the turn before)

Second game, I won. Turn 5 skittering invasion with parallel lives on the field and training grounds on the field. Saced all 10 for spawnsire 2 mana available launch spawnsire's ability.

Third game platinum_demon won. Had 2 parallel lives on the field with an awakening zone. Cast spawnsire, 4 mana open, cast that to get 8 eldrazi spawn infinite mana easy mid turn 7.

Very impressive. Definitely seeing some solid strategies here.

Third matchup I put squire1 vs. myself.

First game it was all squire1 . Primeval titan came out and had enough mana to cast spawnsire and then cast his big ability without the aid of training grounds.

Second game. squire1 actually got a little mana screwed suprisingly. Was pretty close and even managed to have helix pinnacle on the field which would have had a chance if it weren't for 2x card:Kozilek's Predator on the field. I won this one.

Third game. Was VERY close. I had a turn 1 training grounds with a turn 3 and turn 4 parallel lives. Had spawnsire in hand and several nest invaders. squire1 had two parallel lives on the field had spawnsire in hand but was a turn slower in ramping. Won by a turn in this one.

In the fourth matchup we have

platinum_demon vs. IPyro92.

Ipyro's strategy of summoning trap didn't pan out for it in any of the games unfortunately and lotus cobra failed to do it's job.

platinum_demon ran away with this. First game was quick second game lasted 13 turns longest of any of the games to this point. Pulled out a genesis wave for 14 mana, had all 4 training grounds out, 3x parallel lives and 2x awakening zones, but no spawnsire. IPyro92 did manage to kill 2 primeval titans with beast within which was a huge advantage.

Two turns after this spawnsire was topdecked and then placed onto the field.

So standings after the first 4 matches:

Player _ Match Game

platinum_demon _ 2-0

4-1___

rckclimber777 __ 1-1

3-3___

IPyro92 ___ 1-1

2-3___

squire1 ___ 0-2

2-3___

Cool. Good to know my deck works. I've looked at all the others, and they look really solid, too.
