Think Combo's Challenge #1

Challenges and Articles forum

This is a new challenge that I will be putting out here each couple days. Each time, we will be asking a question involving combos that you may know. The winner will be decided based on how easy their combo is to get, and how powerful it is. If you win, you will be mentioned in the next challenge as well as one of your decks.

THIS WEEKS CHALLENGE:

Use Shahrazad with any number of other cards (assuming you have infinite mana) to create the most subgames you possibly can in one turn.

Oh no, this is terrible, there's way too many cards! I can't imagine what people will come up with... I'll be reading through subgame creations forever.

Do you mean create the most subgames before you even get into a subgame? Or throughout each subgame? There may be an infinite subgame combo somewhere.

aside from caley's terribly awesome deck, just use a Isochron Scepter with a Reverberate on it and a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker Pestermite combo with Doubling Season to get infinite copies of any spell on the stack (Shahrazad ). just hope they don't have a Time Stop

That is why Counterspell and its offspring were made. Just to help make stupidly annoying combos to continue running.

P1: Copy, copy, copy, copy,...

P2: How many copies is that?

P1: So far, 50.

P2: Time Stop

P1: Counterspell

P2: ...........................

Smash, you can counter time stop, since it does nothing until it resolves. Sudden Death you can't respond to since it says specifically you can't respond to it as a static ability while it's on the stack. My combo is Greenweaver Druid /Joraga Treespeaker (lvl 1 or above) enchanted with Freed from the Real /Pemmin's Aura and Dual Casting , while Orochi Leafcaller is on the battlefield. Tap for 1 green, use orochi to convert it to u/r, pay r to copy shaharazad, and pay u to untap druid, and repeat :D

Frontline Medic attacks with two other creatures. On second main phase cast Supreme Verdict .

Its not what you asked but I like the look on aggro deck player faces when I do that to them.

Oops, dual casting requires a tap, so i need to reword mine. Tap druid for GG, convert to UR, untap and have R leftover. Tap for GG, convert to UU, pay U to untap. Now you have UR and an untapped druid (see a pattern here). Keep doing this until you have UUUUUUUUUUU(x100)RRRRRRRRRRR(x100), and then start paying R to copy, paying U to untap, paying R to copy, paying U to untap. This combo makes infinite mana along with infinite copies. I know the challenge specified you already had infinite mana, but this i a fun way to make the mana as well.

Or we could just imprint Isochron Scepter with Twincast and have a Filigree Sages in play if we're supplied with infinite mana, and play Shahrazad

oops, I can't read. why did I think it had split second?

Maybe you saw my card in the card creators article 3? I thought of making a card like time stop, but for WUGBR that had split second, and a 5WUGRB for that exact reason, that it can be countered :D

Isochron Scepter + 2x "Strionic Resonator".... imprinting Twincast + Twiddle + Dark Ritual

Cast Shahrazad ... Use Isochron Scepter ... copy Shahrazad ... untag Isochron Scepter ... use mana to use Isochron Scepter again... repeat as much as you would like.
