Hey there Tappedouters. So In an effort to add some consistency to the frequency of article release and topics that are covered. TappededOut is looking for some writers to build a Tappedout writing team. In addition we are looking for article topics.
If you are interested in being on the writing team, you will have to
- be willing to work by a set schedule of due date, as this is an effort toward consistency
- be at least somewhat fluent in the formatting that is used in TappedOut
- willing to work with an editor to design the best article possible
- be creative and have lots of ideas for articles
If you are good with all of that here is what to do: Send me an email at [email protected] with the following:
- a short (1 paragraph explaining your mtg playing experience)
- a few article ideas (topics that may be ongoing article series or one time feature articles
- a short writing sample explaining applications of your favorite cards
Ok everyone, look forward to hearing from you.
Good question Justarsaus, no real due date. I figure that for main writing staff I would like to have all applicants in within a month from the initial post, so lets say by the end of October.

What kind of articles would you be looking towards? Are you aiming for casual fun or tourney player? Looking at the card values or just tending on what's hot and why?
How frequent are you wanting articles? Is it once a week, month, etc?

frequency of articles is still to be decided. As far as topics, it is wide open, if you think that there are some good topics to be covered out there I think that you should pitch them to me in your email

ahhhh, I can write, but I can't guarantee availability. I'll have to continue to watch from the shadows... for now.

I like to write but consistancy is a bit of an issue. If it was once a week or fortnight however that could help. Time is forever consuming.

This sounds like it could be fun! I'll draft something up this weekend and send it your way by end of next week.

Hey guys, looking to get a deck for modern.
My choices are
Affinity Four Color Artifacts
or
Infect U/G Infect
I understand Affinity is a T1 deck, while infect isn't as much, just curious on what you guys think.
Side Note: I don't have either of the two decks built, have some parts of Infect from MM2015. The Affinity deck isn't complete on here yet, so feel free to leave help on that decks page as well. :)

I personally hate Infect with all of my being, so I would vote for affinity.

Haha infect is totally disgusting. Yeah, I was leaning that way also, and it's cheaper than infect which is awesome :)

I prefer infect, but that decision is all up to you. Infect is mean, and it can be fast.

Honestly I think infect is a lot stronger. The whole deck isn't killed by Stony Silence.
With that said, why not play both? Here's the basis for a true Dimir Artifact infect build:
Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas
Necropede
Contagion Clasp
Contagion Engine
Karn Liberated (Optional)
Tezzeret's Gambit
Everflowing Chalice
Skeleton Shard
Plague Myr
Phyrexian Crusader (Um, Path to Exile? Try again.)
Inkmoth Nexus (If you play this T1 and hit T2 victory is almost gauranteed.)
Ichor Rats (Kill them without ever touching them)
Wurmcoil Engine (1x Main if you play mana rocks)
Chalice of the Void (Sideboard)
Pithing Needle (Meta Dependent)
Hex Parasite (Meta Dependent)
Phyrexian Metamorph (Sideboard vs Tron, copies Emrakul, the Aeons Torn in a pinch or Wurmcoil Engine)
Black Sun's Zenith / Damnation (Very good with Skeleton Shard and artifact creatures.)
That's just the start. The list offers about 12 slots for you to tinker around with main and the sideboard is pretty flexible keeping in mind you may need a third Crusader and a second Skeleton Shard.
