Commander Deck Help forum

I just recently added Armory Automaton and Kazuul's Toll Collector in my Florian, Voldaren Scion drain/equipment deck. I was wondering it those two cards are worth it as kind of a plan B if my commander keeps getting removed. I currently have 15 equipment in the deck. So do I keep the Kazuul's Toll Collector and Armory Automaton as my plan B , add more equipment or find something else? Here is my list so you know what equipment I am working with
seshiro_of_the_orochi you are referring to the cmc? If so do you think I should reduce the cost of some? Which would you consider cutting if that were the case?

You misunderstood me. The deck is 1300 bucks, which is a lot. Automation is less than 4 bucks, and Collector is a few cents.

A hasty Armory Automaton towards the end of the game would be utterly fantastic, as equipment tends to pile up and people obsess over the commander....

Just an odd thought, but Kazuul's Toll Collector could ininite-pump something like Crackdown Construct. I have used this combo in a deck with Shuko to activate equip infinite times, but Toll Collector would totally work too. Extra good with Leonin Shikari which can also make Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots into instant speed protection for your whole board.
I like the deck : ) I'm just throwing out some ideas I've had fun with in equip decks, but yeah, they are so awesome to play. Nice one!

Sorry to double post, but to the original point, for me personally plan B options are always worth it. There is so much good removal in EDH that your plan A will almost always get disrupted. So backup plans, or recursion for your primary plan are always incredibly useful.

I'd totally keep them in here. The deck has a hugh amount of expensive cards. These two cheap dudes will propably lead to some of the most fun and unexpected kills. Awesome idea!
