As many synergies as possible

Commander Deck Help forum

Friend a has given me and friend b a challenge to make a deck with as many lines as possible. Whoever gets more lines in gets a blood crypt (he’s selling off his collection). For instance, friend b built a rogues mill deck that tries to clone consuming aberration as many times as possible. It also plays coat of arms clone artifact effects to get as much rogue and horror tribal as he can. Friend a counted that as five points, for rogue tribal, horror tribal, clone, and mill. The way I’m thinking is maybe a Rhys the Exiled deck for life gain, aristocrats, elfball, and i also stuck a Umori, the Collector as the companion. That gives me four lines, tying us. Do you know any more directions I could take Rhys or any other ways I could get five lines set up?

Umori, the Collector might enable some combos?

Anything you could do with a snow subtheme? Just a random thought, since you could base that on lands mostly and that would not necessarily interfere with what you're already doing.

the Warrior creature type also opens up tribal and party synergy cards. It's harder with only creatures, but there is a genre of "big, recursive threats" like Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis or Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord that you can use the creature based entomb effects to grab. That would let you jam power-matters cards like Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar (who is an elf btw).

sergiodelrio the snow idea is possibly the best way to get a fifth line of play. The only problem with that is that there aren’t any good snow creatures in golgari. SteelSentry I could probably stick warrior tribal in the deck too, as there are many elves that are also warriors.

Warrior tribal would enable you to play Bramblewood Paragon, Tuskguard Captain and Trollbred Guardian. That easily lends itself to a +1/+1 counter theme, which also works with high power matters. Btw, many of the elf cards from og Lorwyn produce elf warrior tokens (looking at Imperious Perfectfoil and Lys Alana Huntmaster).

seshiro_of_the_orochi those are the elf warriors I was thinking of. So I have now: lifegain, elves, warriors, aristocrats, umori, and I realized I could play voltron with some bestow creatures and counters. That’s six lines, which should be enough. Thank you all!
