Commander Deck Help forum

Whilst skimming through EDHREC in search for new commanders, I stumbled across the partner pairing of Akiri, Line-Slinger + Reyhan, Last of the Abzan. Dune-Brood Artifacts; what a killer idea! Main purpose of this brew couples preemptive aggressive with +1/+1 counters. This deck aldo act as a Hardened Scales style deck. I would love some help, please? Need help in fixing Mana base and card suggestions.

Reyhan, Last of the Abzan was nerfed by the cmdr dies trigger rules change

griffstick: Reyhan checks death triggers too - if anything the deck gets stronger now since it sees the death trigger for Akiri, Line-Slinger so you would get that counter manipulation also.

It's the part that says "or is out into the cmd zone". If Reyhan, Last of the Abzan were to get Path to Exiled then it will get exiled before going to the cmd zone. And the counters will not move to another creature.

griffstick - You make a valid point. Nevertheless, nerfed or not, I am still motivated to assemble this very interesting deck. I'm surprised they changed the death ruling.

griffstick: that makes sense. And ignore what I said, I realised the stupidity of my comment.
While single target removal is an issue (there are the big 4 - Path, Swords, Shift and Unmaking plus a slew of others) I think the deck is going to want a bunch of sac outlets anyway via both creeatures sac outlets (eg Carrion Feeder) as well as artifact sac outlets and specialist sac outlets like Thopter Squadron so you should be pretty safe.

So a friend of mine was telling me I should make a sort of affinity counters style kind of deck. What would be your thoughts on that?

I feel like the modular artifact creatures would be at home in the deck. Especially Arcbound Ravager.
