How Can I Put Perforating Artist Into These Decks?

I absolutely shall put Perforating Artist into my EDH decks that contain the colors black and red, but I am not certain what cards I should remove to make room for it.

In my Kresh the Bloodbraided deck, already replaced Decimate with the artist, so that is very good.

In my Thraximundar deck, I was first contemplating removing Exsanguinate, since that cards does not contribute to the theme of the deck, but it is still an excellent card, so I am now instead contemplating removing Slave of Bolas, since that card does contribute to the theme of the deck, but is very expensive for a one-shot effect.

As for my Tariel, Reckoner of Souls deck, I am having difficulty finding a card that I can remove, since nearly every card in that deck already contributes very strongly to its theme, so I may not be able to put Perforating Artist in that deck, unfortunately.

What does everyone else say about this? How can I put Perforating Artist into my EDH decks that contain the colors black and red? I certainly would appreciate any suggestions that anyone here has to offer.

When in doubt cut a basic land! (I jest)... Idk I think I would just cut what you felt was "stale"... its a 1 0f in the 99 and isnt exactly a key card I dont think so i think simply any other card that is not critical to the decks game plan is a consideration.

Sometimes, it is best to not make a cut. Even if the card is "better." Sometimes your deck specifically runs good already how it does with the exact cards, functions, mana costs, etc. In my experience, if the shoe doesn't fit, it just doesn't. You'll know when the time is right and what card to take out. A lot of times we get excited about a new card but cant figure out what to take out--that's because the deck is probably perfect the way it is. Just some introspection and critical thought before even a choice is made.

How this helps! Much love,

Goldberserkerdragon, yes, that is how I feel about my Tariel deck, since I feel that I have optimized it quite sufficiently, so there is no need to add Perforating Artist, to it, but I am still uncertain about my Thraximundar deck, so I shall wait to receive responses from several other users, here, before I make a decision, about that.

For sure buddy! At the end of the day, it's all whatever you want most. I speak from this stance as I'm sure others will chime in with direct card suggestions for you. Cheers!

Cut Demon of Loathing in Thraximundar? Cut a 7 drop for a 3 drop. Loathing is lackluster compared to the other 7 drops. It only makes one opponent sac a creature and only if it gets through.

Cut True Conviction in Tariel? Cut a 6 drop for a 3 drop. Conviction seems pretty difficult to cast with current manabase. It's mana cost is problematic when there's 21 lands that includes 16 basic lands that can't make white mana. You don't really need Conviction when you have Akroma's Memorial.

multimedia, I actually shall replace Slave of Bolas with Perforating Artist, since the former card is a one-shot effect, and it shall still lower that deck's mana curve; and, as for my Tariel deck, True Conviction is one of my favorite cards, and I actually do not believe that I need Perforating Artist in that deck, after all, since it has plenty of ways to make my opponents sacrifice creatures.
