Commander Deck Help forum

I have been looking at several lists while building mine, and found the variety around the theme very interesting. From decks anchored in mana rocks versus dorks, and from all-Elves themes to more unconventional strategies, many people have their own take on what the 2 CMC Simic Commander can do.

Share you deck link in the comment, with a quick note on what makes this deck special or unique for you. I will upvote or comment your list if you participate.

I'll go first: I worked hard to have Wincons that rely mostly on creatures attacking and to avoid the control side of blue. My alternate win is Throne of the God-Pharaoh.

When I see Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy I get greedy, I cant help it. Vigean Graftmage Pemmin's Aura Freed from the Real all make infinite mana with dorks like Incubation Druid or Gyre Engineer or Bloom Tender, if use the infinite mana you activate kinnan enough youll get a Beast Whisperer and a bouncy creature or just a Soul of the Harvest to draw the whole deck and cast a Thassa's Oracle to win. Id probably include Intruder Alarm Thousand-Year Elixir Concordant Crossroads and all the mana efficient counterspells. He seems fun. Turn 2/3 wins depending if you have mana positive rocks

Thank you for commenting DadHumanPraetor.

So your version of Kinnan would be infinite combo, but what would you use as a wincon? What would you include in your list that makes it special to you?

We don't play infinite in my group, so I am using Murkfiend Liege or Seedborn Muse along with Leyline of Anticipation or Vivien, Champion of the Wilds to get the advantage.

Thassa's Oracle most likely, but Finale of Devastation or Concordant Crossroads + Pathbreaker Ibex or Craterhoof Behemoth or even Altar of the Brood and mill everyone out. Once you have infinite mana and your whole deck in hand its kinda like..."so how do you guys want to lose?"

DadHumanPraetor you can go infinite with all mana dorks that taps for at least 1 of any color mana, not just the creatures you mentioned. All you gotta do is tap for enough blue to eventually use the excess of blue in your mana pool to untap then tap for green (i.e. tap for blue, get 2 blue, use 1 blue to untap creature, net 1 blue, do it 1,000,000 times to net that much blue, use half of that netted blue to untap when your ready to start tapping for green).

versus64 true, all the ones I named also go infinite with Vigean Graftmage as a 2 card combo for infinite mana, or with Pemmin's Aura or Freed from the Real as a 2 card infinite mana combo. But a bird, kinnan, and either aura is basically a win. Graftmage is a jankier line, but super fun card to play with. I suppose if I were going for straight up max power I would run the most efficient tutors and dorks to make inifinite mana as quickly as possible with Spellseeker and Finale of Devastation as the win-con. And of course Basalt Monolith
