Muldrotha Wincons/Infinite Combos

Commander Deck Help forum

Hello everyone! I have a Muldrotha, the Gravetide deck and I like it a lot. However, it is the first commander deck I have ever built, and to say the least its not great. I have good cards to outvalue my opponents and work with Muldrotha, but I lack in the win condition area. I have decided to get some upgrades for that. Here is what I am planning to get:

Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth = infinite

Muldrotha + Coretapper + Magistrate's Scepter = Infinite turns

By then I am planning to use the following cards in some combinations to win: Laboratory Maniac , Mind Spring , Villainous Wealth , Mortal Combat

Is there any other semibudget combos that I have left out?

When it comes to infinite mana win conditions, Villainous Wealth is not good. You're better off playing Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire . Both of these cards are A) are easier to cast, B) add more value outside of combo than Villainous Wealth and C) Actually win you the game.

If you're looking to use Laboratory Maniac though, you're better off working to a consistent theme and just using Jace, Wielder of Mysteries / Thassa's Oracle . Then you can just run a Time Warp + Eternal Witness + Sac Outlet or Mystic Sanctuary + Sac Outlet loop.

Asa general rule as well, if you can generate infinite mana, the preference is to add coloured mana. I know hte Lion's Eye Diamond combo is expensive (since you ned LED) but you could run something like Eternal Witness + Ghostly Flicker + Peregrine Drake . Play E-Wit, get flicker, flicker E-Wit and Muldrotha (getting back flicker), play drake, win from there.

Kaya's Ghostform , Altar of Dementia and Lotus Petal generate infinite mill for everyone. You could also mill yourself and win with Jace or oracle if you have the extra mana. Or if you use LED instead of lotus petal you also generate infinite mana. Those 3 cards are a cheap combo in terms of mana with 3 mana total, all cards should be affordable and in case you have an Intuition they form a nice package to search up. Also they’re pretty useful on their own outside of the combo. I use that combo in my Muldrotha and it gets a lot of work done

Idk...
Personally i would ramp, sac, and dredge into a Boardstate thats 5-10 turns ahead
Then start looping utility to keep everyone one else in check
Blacks "when a creature dies" or "when a creature leaves your graveyard" triggers is more then enough to take the win with the synergy of the deck, also much easier to loop
This would allow you to be more adaptable and harder to stop.

I've been playing my muldrotha deck for about 2 years now, and here's some of my favorite combos to use

Muldrotha, the Gravetide + Timestream Navigator + Cellar Door to get infinite turns/zombie tokens

Muldrotha, the Gravetide + Mindslaver works best in a 1 v 1 but can be a useful political tool and can help take a player out of the game.

and any other wincon works around cards like Mesmeric Orb , Fraying Sanity (cast on self) Mirror-Mad Phantasm , Altar of Dementia , and one of either Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Laboratory Maniac ( Thassa's Oracle also works but I haven't gotten my hands on a copy yet so it's not in the deck) and simply works to get as many cards in my graveyard and then win with the Lab/jace.

there's a lot of strategies and EDHREC has a great page dedicated to combos within certain commanders or color archetypes, so I'll link muldrotha's here

hope this helps!
