Not asking for specific deck help but cards that I think should go in will be in this deck
Anyway, it seems games we lose are to mass bounce spells like Wash Out and Cyclonic Rift namely.
Lapse of Certainty and Mana Tithe don't work because its too late in the game for tithe to be worthwhile and Lapse of Certainty is just delaying the inevitable and blue always has card draw.
I am seriously desperate. Anything is fine.
Thanks in advance.
TheDevicer thanks so much. I might include it. Definitely gonna test, it also synergizes with some cards.

Lapse of Certainty is worthwhile if you add shuffle effects like Path to Exile or Ghost Quarter or just have something to mill them a little or something. Hell, ingest would do it haha.

Ghostway is probably the best thing I found, so I second that.
You could also try adding Nevermore since it doesn't necessarily have to name Cyclonic Rift. Probably usually won't, but if you're desperate to stop it, it works.
You could also dissect the opponent's deck with effects like Jester's Cap. Find their bad cards, make them get rid of them.
Also you could be that guy that plays Iona, Shield of Emeria. Name blue, they turn red.

Well if you're playing against the same people everytime and they frequently pull the rift on you, Nevermore is an option to cut it off before it happens. Jester's Cap does something similar.

Jay:
We run path and might run ghost but we don't want hate and those are only 2 of the 99 cards.
Everyone else:
Nevermore and Jester's Cap might also be worthwhile. They can also take out important combo pieces.

Path and Quarter might actually work if they didn't say "may" on them. That pesky phrase gets ya every time.

Yea I know they're may, but if they don't forget and take it anyway you just get free value lol.

Along the lines of Nevermore and Jester's Cap, you could play Iona, Shield of Emeria and name Blue.
Grand Abolisher might help if you're sitting to the right of the Blue mage. It would at least be better than when he or she casts on your EOT.
A Reliquary Tower could help afterwards. And maybe a Voltaic Construct + Walking Atlas to get going again?
Beyond that I think there's only three other options ...
- Buy a Guttural Response for the Gruul player at the table
- Drop an Armageddon anytime you see a Blue mage with 7 up
- Play Azorius ;-)

Another approach to keep them from ever getting 7 mana in the first place: Some combo of Strip Mine or Ghost Quarter + Crucible of Worlds or Sun Titan
And the Armageddon option is actually pretty sweet if you can get to 8 before he or she gets to 7: Armageddon + Faith's Reward

Sorry for the echo Gigi_Year -- I missed your post on Iona until just now!

Red Elemental Blast and Pyroblast are both better than Guttural Response, fyi.
